  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The demand for elite players to push their bodies to the limit is on the rise and Kane is set for a hectic summer following the conclusion of his campaign with Bayern Munich. The 31-year-old will jet off to the next England camp on June 2, just two days after the Champions League final. He will then have five days before the new Club World Cup begins and runs between June 15 and July 15.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

While the former Tottenham striker is frustrated with the lack of consideration when it comes to player welfare, Kane is viewing the extra games as an opportunity to hunt for silverware as he looks to break his trophy duck. However, he did warn that it may lead to more injuries and a drop in quality if players are not given sufficient time to rest before the 2025-26 season.

  • WHAT KANE SAID

He said: "I don't think the players are listened to that much, if I'm totally honest. But also everyone wants their piece, their tournament, their prize, and the players are kind of the people who have to get on with it.

"But it is what it is. I love playing football, so I'm never going to complain about playing football. I think if you manage it well, with your coaches and your manager and your clubs, there are ways of getting more rest in certain moments.

"But it's not an easy question, it's not an easy situation. I think there could be a balance from both sides, but we'd have to see how that pans out."

    WHAT NEXT FOR KANE?

After another impressive few performances for England - which saw him net his 71st international goal - Kane will return to Bayern as he looks to guide the Bavarians over the line and claim the Bundesliga title. They face St. Pauli on March 29 and hold a six-point lead over Bayer Leverkusen.
