France and the Netherlands set unbelievable marker with Euro 2024 bore-draw

    According to StatMuse, the clash at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig was the first goalless fixture since England and Scotland drew 0-0 back in Euro 2020. There had been a goal in 50 straight games since that match.

    A draw was not a disaster for either side, considering they both won their opening fixtures. The two countries will now battle it out to top Group D with France set to face Poland and the Netherlands preparing for Austria.

    England's Euro 2024 campaign has followed a similar pattern to the last tournament so far. That draw against Scotland followed a narrow victory over Croatia, with Gareth Southgate's tactics called into question in the aftermath.
