Reine-Adelaide, who currently plies his trade with Belgian side RWN Molenbeek, was left unconscious for 10 minutes after being hit in the face with the ball from close range. He was in action for his club against Charleroi in a Belgian Pro League encounter.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The player received immediate treatment from medics on the pitch before being rushed to the hospital. Molenbeek manager Yannick Ferrera suspected that the 26-year-old might have suffered a life-threating injury, as he told reporters: "Jeff was unconscious for about ten minutes. We fear a brain haemorrhage."This was later denied in a message from Reine-Adelaide's entourage to French outlet L'Equipe: “Jeff is fine. There is no haemorrhage or after-effects."
