FIFA 23 Premier League ratings: Top 25 players revealed as Haaland gets another boost

FIFA 23 is on the horizon, and with that, the best Premier League players in the game have been announced.

EA Sports is back with the latest iteration of their wildly popular football video game and the hype is real as we eagerly await the chance to get controllers in hands, and get stuck into our favourite game modes.

With the game due for release across all consoles on September 30, 2022, we've officially had our first major tease and insight into one of the game's most hotly anticipated features - player ratings.

Read on to find out the 25 highest rated players in the Premier League in FIFA 23.

  • 25Riyad Mahrez | Manchester City | 86

Just sneaking into the Premier League's elite for FIFA 23 is Mahrez, whose trickery and footwork continue to give defenders major headaches.

  • 24Raheem Sterling | Chelsea | 86

Despite making the move to Chelsea and still sitting in the top 25, Sterling's rating has decreased from 88 in FIFA 22 to 86 in FIFA 23.

  • 23Aymeric Laporte | Manchester City | 86

The Spanish international provides competition in the strong defence that has been sculpted at Manchester City.

    Aymeric Laporte FUTEA Sports
  • 22Edouard Mendy | Chelsea | 86

Mendy has come under fire in recent times for shaky performances, but he's typically been a standout player. The Senegalese goalkeeper has been nothing short of immense since signing for Chelsea in 2020.

    Edouard Mendy FUTEA Sports
  • 21David de Gea | Manchester United | 87

A very controversial rating, this one. Sure, De Gea has looked back to his best at times, but he also still struggles with some of the basics worryingly often.

  • 20Hugo Lloris | Tottenham | 87

Now 35, Lloris is entering the latter stages of his career. He's still been brilliant for Spurs, though, and if there's anyone that can motivate one last hurrah out of a player, it's Antonio Conte.

    Hugo Lloris FUTEA Sports
  • 19Trent Alexander-Arnold | Liverpool | 87

Absolutely correct for some, completely absurd for others. Alexander-Arnold only seems to become more polarising with every passing week. Brilliant passer of the ball, though, if nothing else.

    Trent Alexander-Arnold FUTEA Sports
  • 18Kalidou Koulibaly | Chelsea | 87

After years of speculation, Koulibaly finally got his move to the Premier League and immediately slots in as one of the division's top defenders in FIFA 23.

  • 17Andy Robertson | Liverpool | 87

It's been a tough start to the 2022-23 season for Robertson and Liverpool, but don't let that cloud your judgement - he's probably still one of the best full-backs out there.

    Andy Robertson FUTEA Sports
  • 16Fabinho | Liverpool | 87

Is there anything this man can't sweep up? Fabinho is absolutely timeless. You can even plug him in at centre-back if your defence is really struggling.

    Fabinho FUTEA Sports
  • 15Rodri | Manchester City | 87

Picking who's better out of Rodri and Fabinho is tough, considering they're both immense. We'll all have our favourites, but it's sensible to have them rated the same.

    Rodri FUTEA Sports
  • 14Bernardo Silva | Manchester City | 88

Will Silva be in the Premier League for much longer? Who knows. But for as long as City do have him on the books, we should enjoy every minute. A much deserved 88 rating.

    Bernardo Silva FUTEA Sports
  • 13Ruben Dias | Manchester City | 88

Dias is bound to cost a pretty penny on the Ultimate Team market at the game's release, but for good reason - he's an absolute rock at the back.

    Ruben Dias FUTEA Sports
  • 12Joao Cancelo | Manchester City | 88

Realistically, Cancelo could probably play anywhere outfield on a football pitch and do a fine job. The good news is, you can play him wherever you like in FIFA 23. Go crazy.

    Joao Cancelo FUTEA Sports
  • 11Erling Haaland | Manchester City | 88

Ten goals from his first six games for City? Yeah, he's a cheat code. It's no surprise to learn that Haaland has had yet another ratings increase. Rage quit central when coming up against him.

    Erling Haaland FUTEA Sports
  • 10N'Golo Kante | Chelsea | 89

Injuries are finally starting to catch up with Kante in the real world. The good news is that on FIFA, this is barely an issue. Overplay that man into oblivion.

    N'Golo Kante FUTEA Sports
  • 9Ederson | Manchester City | 89

Nobody loves a heart-in-mouth moment more than Ederson does. The best part is that he's actually good with his feet. Like, really good. Get him on your set-pieces.

    Ederson FUTEA Sports
  • 8Alisson | Liverpool | 89

There is no definitive winner when it comes to the Ederson/Alisson debate. Not on FIFA 23's watch, anyway. Both get an 89.

    Alisson Becker FUTEA Sports
  • 7Casemiro | Manchester United | 89

United fans can finally enjoy having a candidate representing the club in the 'best defensive midfielder in the league' debate, having signed Casemiro. Just imagine how their midfield could've looked if they pulled off Frenkie de Jong, too.

    Casemiro FUTEA Sports
  • 6Harry Kane | Tottenham | 89

Far from the flashiest, but a certain scorer. That's Kane in real life and in FIFA. A shrewd option for the purists.

    Harry Kane FUTEA Sports
  • 5Son Heung-min | Tottenham | 89

Son has grown into a top class player in the last few years and become the perfect partner for Kane. The FIFA rating reflects that, as they both come in at 89.

    Son Heung-min FUTEA Sports
  • 4Cristiano Ronaldo | Manchester United | 90

Waning in influence on the pitch and in FIFA, Ronaldo is finally starting to show that he is human. His 90 rating is one point less than he carried in FIFA 22, and a point less than Lionel Messi's in the new game.

    Cristiano Ronaldo FUTEA Sports
  • 3Virgil van Dijk | Liverpool | 90

FIFA 23 names Van Dijk as the best defender in the Premier League. The Dutchman's rating increases by one from FIFA 22.

    Virgil van Dijk FUTEA Sports
  • 2Mohamed Salah | Liverpool | 90

Salah gets an increase of one on his FIFA 22 rating, but it still isn't enough to see him become the highest rated player in the league. Better luck next year, Mo.

    Mohamed Salah FUTEA Sports
  • 1Kevin De Bruyne | Manchester City | 91

De Bruyne is officially the best player in the Premier League - according to FIFA 23. He maintains his rating from the previous year's game and tops the lot as a result.
