Brazil international Luiz bid farewell to the Premier League when agreeing a switch from Aston Villa to Turin. His Swiss partner headed down the same path when bringing a spell in the WSL to a close. Lehmann has been enjoying her time in Italy.

Calciomercato claim that Luiz was fit and available to face Udinese, with Bianconeri boss Thiago Motta merely choosing to overlook him. There are now suggestions that Juve may line up a loan move for the South American in the January transfer window.

There are claims that Luiz could retrace his steps to Aston Villa, having previously helped them to secure Champions League qualification. Juve are not ready to write him off completely just yet, with the hope being that a spark can be rekindled elsewhere, but any return to the West Midlands would see Luiz separated from Lehmann as their respective careers head in different directions for the first time as a couple.
