Chelsea make approach for new goalkeeper as Enzo Maresca’s Blues consider four names to challenge for No.1 spot

Per Fabrizio Romano, the Blues have initiated talks with the Swedish custodian - who is reportedly keen on joining the Premier League giants. The club currently have four goalkeepers on their shortlist including Leicester City's Mads Hermansen as they look to push Robert Sanchez for the No. 1 spot.

The West London side are also being linked with a move for Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, who is considering leaving the Spanish champions this summer. After starring for Los Blancos in the 2023-24 season in the absence of Thibaut Courtois, the Ukrainian signed for super agent Jorge Mendes' agency, Polaris Sport. Mendes is reportedly trying to convince the 25-year-old to leave Stamford Bridge in the transfer window.

22-year-old Jorgensen appeared in 37 matches across all competitions last season including 36 in La Liga, where he managed to keep six clean sheets as Villarreal finished eighth in the table.

Chelsea's pre-season tour of the United States is set to get underway. The Blues will take on Wrexham on Wednesday at Santa Clara.
