According to Spanish outlet Sport, Eyong has a €30m (£25m/$35m) release clause, but Levante may have to accept an offer as low as €15 million (£10m/$18m), with Villarreal retaining a right-to-match clause. The Cameroonian striker has also attracted interest from several clubs in Spain and England, but Barcelona are said to have the upper hand, having already agreed personal terms with the player. The Catalan club had attempted to sign him last summer but were unable to activate his release clause at the time.
