Alisson, Milinkovic-Savic & 15 summer transfer targets from Serie A this summer

After being forced to play second fiddle to Wojciech Szczesny at Roma last season, Alisson has spent the current campaign showing just why was never usurped as Brazil's No.1 by Ederson despite the lack of game time in 2016-17.

The 25-year-old has been labelled "the Messi of goalkeepers" by former Giallorossi coach Roberto Negrisolo and there are plenty of top teams across Europe who believe Alisson to be something truly special.

Liverpool recently pulled out of a £62 million deal for the Selecao shot-stopper but, given Roma's annual need to cash in on its best players in order to meet FFP regulations, it is highly likely that Alisson will be on the move this summer regardless.

A former target for Manchester United, Felipe Anderson was regarded as one of the best players in Serie A after an excellent second season at the Stadio Olimpico. Three years on, though, the Brazilian is struggling for consistency.

However, he has not been helped by playing in a variety of roles, including wing-back, while he missed the start of the current campaign with a torn abductor muscle.

There have been encouraging signs of late, though, and Lazio would certainly be open to offers for a player who is not a guaranteed starter and has also recently clashed with coach Simone Inzaghi.

After a sensational 2016-17 season, Andrea Belotti looked certain to leave Torino last summer. However, Granata president Urbano Cairo insisted that the striker would only depart if a foreign club met the €100 million buy-out clause in his contract.

Milan did their best to land Belotti but they were, unsurprisingly, unable to reach an agreement with Cairo, who was dead against selling his most prized possession to a Serie A rival. Torino's stance has softened, and the asking price fallen, given Belotti has netted just five times in Serie A this season.

Indeed, the 24-year-old remains an attractive proposition for any top side looking for an all-round attacker, as his struggles this season have more to do with a minor but nagging knee injury and Torino's poor form, rather than a lack of talent on his part.

The biggest bargain of the summer, Stefan de Vrij is available on a free transfer as his contract with Lazio expires at the end of June. The Dutch defender has been brilliant for the Biancocelesti since arriving from Feyenoord in the 2014 for approximately €7m.

In the current climate, he is now worth at least six times that amount, having established himself as one of the best centre-halves in Serie A. Lazio fought desperately to persuade him to stay at the Stadio Olimpico – or at the very least agree to a new contract with a low buy-out clause – but the two parties were unable to broker a deal.

As a result, De Vrij is now set to depart, with Inter his most likely destination, though several other clubs, including Juventus, are interested.

Gianluigi Donnarumma only signed a contract extension last year. So, in theory, that should spare us another summer of transfer shenanigans involving AC Milan's goalkeeping sensation. But then, that is not how football works these days, especially not when Mino Raiola is involved.

Donnarumma committed himself to the Rossoneri until 2021 only last year but his agent, who has made no secret of his dislike of Milan's sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli, is pushing for a transfer. "If Gigio should ask me to leave, I would work on it immediately because there are important requests," Raiola revealed. "In my opinion, Gigio should leave Milan."

Milan fans are already bracing themselves for another summer saga.

Paulo Dybala is the jewel in Juventus' Serie A crown but he has not been shining as brightly this season.

The Argentine attacker began the 2017-18 campaign in sensational fashion, with 10 goals in six games, only to suffer a dramatic dip in form that his bosses and senior colleagues have attributed to a lack of professionalism off the field.

So, while the Bianconeri are not actively looking to sell the 24-year-old, they would now be willing to listen of offers for their most valuable asset. Dybala has never hidden his admiration for either Barcelona or his compatriot Lionel Messi but the forward's high standing in South America appeals to Real Madrid's commercial and marketing departments...

Mauro Icardi's life is a soap opera, only one that plays out on social media rather than television. The Inter captain has repeatedly expressed his love for the club and his unwillingness to leave until he has led the Nerazzurri to a major title.

However, his affairs are controlled by his wife Wanda and has made little secret of the fact that she has received several offers for her husband's services. Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is growing increasingly concerned by the fact that the striker has yet to sign a contract extension, as he is desperate to increase the striker's buy-out clause, which currently stands at €110m for foreign clubs.

Wanda, though, explained: "I have to evaluate his options: everything goes through me, so whoever wants Icardi must knock on my door first." This particular storyline could run all summer long.

Lucas Torreira will almost certainly be on the move this summer, on the back of his breakout season at Sampdoria. Several clubs are interested, including Napoli, and Jorginho's agent, Joao Santos, says that if the Uruguayan were to arrive at the San Paolo, then his client "could be sacrificed to make way".

Even if Partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis will doubtless demand big money for Jorginho, there would be no shortage of offers for a midfield metronome described by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola as "a marvellous player".

Indeed, the 26-year-old Brazilian-born Italy international is the man that makes Maurizio Sarri's wonderful side tick and any side in Europe would be lucky to have him.

Arguably the most coveted player in Serie A right now, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is enjoying a sensational season with Lazio, the driving force behind their surprise push for a Champions League place.

The Serbian was already hot property last summer, with Biancocelesti sporting director Igli Tare admitting that they turned down one offer of €70m for the all-action midfielder. So, while it is clear that it will take a colossal bid to persuade the capital club to part company with Milinkovic-Savic, who has scored nine times in Serie A already this term, it would be a surprise if he is still at the Stadio Olimpico come September.

Tare has denied reports that Real Madrid have made a bid but the Spanish giants are interested, along with every other major side in Europe.

Radja Nainggolan could finally be about to leave Roma. The Belgian remains a reliable presence on the field but, given he turns 30 in May and has had disciplinary issues of late, the Giallorossi are considering cashing in.

While a proposed January move to China ultimately came to nothing, and Nainggolan insists that he would be willing to finish his career in the Italian capital, Roma would not refuse a decent bid for the midfielder.

Much will hinge on Antonio Conte's future at Chelsea, given the Italian coach has tried to sign Nainggolan twice, both for the Blues and in his previous position at Juventus.

Manchester United tried desperately to sign Ivan Perisic last summer but were frustrated by Inter's refusal to lower their £48m asking price. The Croatia international claimed that Nerazzurri coach Luciano Spalletti had also played a part in convincing him to stay at San Siro, where he appeared settled once again during a storming start to the Serie A season.

However, Perisic hasn't scored or created a goal since netting a hat-trick against Chievo at the start of December and whatever the veracity of reports of a social media row involving his compatriot Marcelo Brozovic and club captain Mauro Icardi, there is no denying that the winger's form has plummeted.

It would come as no surprise if he were finally allowed to move to England this summer.

Whether Napoli win the Scudetto or not, Pepe Reina is expected to leave the San Paolo this summer. Indeed, it is believed that the goalkeeper has already informed his Partenopei team-mates that his second stint with the club is drawing to a close, having agreed personal terms with AC Milan.

The Rossoneri, for their part, are remaining coy on the issue, with sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli admitting nothing more than the fact that they are interested in all high-quality free agents.

However, at this stage, it would be a major surprise if Reina ends up anywhere other than San Siro, where he will either work alongside or replace Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Juventus fought desperately – and successfully – to keep Alex Sandro out of the clutches of Chelsea manager Antonio Conte last summer.

However, the versatile wing-back was disappointed by the collapse of his proposed transfer to Stamford Bridge and his form nosedived as a consequence.

Sandro has looked more like his old rampaging self in recent weeks but Juve are now willing to cash in on the 27-year-old this summer, having identified a number of possible replacements, including Manchester United's Matteo Darmian, and Leonardo Spinazzola returning to the club from Atalanta anyway.

Milan Skriniar's debut season at San Siro has gone better than Inter could have imagined. The only trouble is that the €23m signing from Sampdoria has already attracted the attention of Europe's elite.

The defender's agent admitted that one of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United made an offer of €65m for his client during the January transfer window. Skriniar, for his part, has insisted that he sees himself staying in Milan for years to come, while Inter's plan is for him to form a formidable central defensive partnership with Stefan de Vrij next season.

However, there is no doubt that Inter will have to fend off further interest in the 23-year-old this summer.

Kevin Strootman recently lamented the fact that cash-strapped Roma are incapable of competing consistently with Juventus and Napoli because they are repeatedly forced to sell their best players.

The Dutchman could well be the next to go. Even while he was recovering from knee surgery, the Dutchman was the subject of transfer speculation, which only underlines just how well regarded the former PSV ace is by the Europe's top teams.

He was tracked for a long time by Manchester United and Jose Mourinho has long been a fan. Now that his knee problems appear to be behind him, Strootman is one again attracting attention from across the continent.
