We don't owe you any signing fee, Gor Mahia tell Zoo over Nicholas Kipkirui's deal

Gor Mahia have reiterated that they followed the right procedure in acquiring the services of  Zoo FC striker Nicholas Kipkirui.

K’Ogalo's acquisition of the highly rated Kipkirui has since attracted a war of words between them and Zoo, who has since downplayed the new deal, saying that the Kenyan champions did not contact them on the deal.

Kipkirui still had a running contract with Zoo until the end of December but Gor Mahia insists that they did not break any transfer rule.

Despite Gor Mahia tying Kipkirui, who score 14 league goals last season to a four-year deal, Zoo have refused to grant the player a release letter until K’Ogalo parts with the signing fee.

"Kipkirui's contract with Zoo ends on December 31. Fifa rules are clear, a player can negotiate with any club in the last six months of his contract and can make a move for free when it expires.

"The only thing we can negotiate with Zoo is development fee, and on that we are ready. About the signing fee, no, it does not exist."

Club CEO Lordvic Aduda added: “As far as I am concerned, we followed the right procedure. There is no tag of war between both clubs but I cannot respond to lies.”

Jolawi has further hinted the discussion between his club and Kakamega Homeboyz over winger Moses Mudavadi is going on well and if the two clubs agree then the player will sign for the Green Army.
