Ulinzi Stars warm up for the Wazito test with an emphatic victory in a build up match

Ulinzi Stars warmed up for their Kenyan Premier League weekend clash against Wazito with a 4-0 victory over Liberty Sports in a friendly match.

After taking a break this past weekend, Dunstan Nyaudo needed to test his side’s conversion prowess and the striking department did not disappoint, scoring a combined 11 goals in two matches.

Ulinzi Stars beat Eastlanders 7-1 at Camp Toyoyo on Friday 12th May before taking on Liberty.

A brace from Oscar Wamalwa and goals from Collins Ochieng and Mark Bikokwa aided the team to a victory over Liberty in the latest friendly held at the Barclays Club Grounds in Ruaraka.

Ulinzi Stars was scheduled to play Gor Mahia on Sunday 13th May but the game was postponed to pave way for the Caf Confederation Cup match between Gor Mahia and Rayon Sports of Rwanda.

Ahead of the Wazito game, the team dropped to third place by virtue of being inactive on the weekend and Mathare United picking a point to go second on 26, one more than Ulinzi Stars.

The Soldiers, who head into the Wazito game unbeaten in five matches, and three straight wins, will be hoping to extend their unbeaten record away in Nairobi.
