Sofapaka appoint Hillary Echesa as Team Manager

Sofapaka FC have appointed Hillary Echesa as the club's new team manager.

The veteran player has been handed the mantle to fill in the void left by William Waliaula, who left the club early this season.

Goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya has also been confirmed as the club’s captain while Stephen Waruru will deputize. “We have elevated Echesa to take over the role of the TM while Kigonya officially assumes the captain’s role following the exit of Maurice Odipo.

“Stephen Waruru will deputize Kigonya until the end of the season,” Sofapaka President Elly Kalekwa told Goal.

Maurice Odipo has officially been released by the club, who has already signed two players – keeper Wycliffe Kasaya and striker Pistone Mutamba. Kasaya joined Batoto ba Mungu from Mathare United while Mutamba signed from Wazito FC.
