KPL Round up: Bandari keep run after win over Tusker as Ulinzi Stars fall

Bernard Mwalala's decent run in the Kenyan Premier League continued as he led Bandari to a fifth win in six matches against sorry Tusker.

The Dockers had suffered 2-0 in the first leg, coupled with another 2-1 loss in the FKF Shield Cup, and revenge was inevitable against the Robert Matano led side. It was Mwana Yema, who hit the lone goal in the fourth minute.

The coastal-based side is second on the log with forty eight points after 27 matches, and an outside chance of winning the league. In another match, Ulinzi Stars' hunger in front of goal extended to three matches after the soldiers fell by a solitary goal to visiting Sony Sugar.

Dunstan Nyaudo would have loved to avenge the first leg defeat suffered in the first leg, but once agin, he had no reply for the Enock Agwanda goal in the stroke of halftime. The Sugar Millers revival continues after an awful first leg.

Thika United's relegation fears intensified after they failed to get a point from fellow strugglers Wazito FC at Thika Stadium. The Frank Ouna led side needed at least three points to ensure they keep hopes of surviving the axe, and at the end of the day, they managed to get a comfortable 3-1 win.

In another match, Zoo Kericho defeated Nzoia Sugar 3-1.
