Kariobangi Sharks to face Arta Solar FC of Djibouti in Caf Confederation Cup

Kariobangi Sharks will kick off their Caf Confederation debut at home after the Kenyan representative landed Arta Solar FC of Djibouti in the preliminary rounds.

The first leg is set to be played in Nairobi on 27/28 November with the return leg coming on December 4/5 in Carta, Djibouti.

Sharks booked their maiden trip to the continental stage after winning domestic league cup competition, FKF Shield Cup.

If they progress to the next stage, Sharks will face either Asante Kotoko or a team from Cameroon in the play-offs. Meanwhile, Gor Mahia will carry the Kenyan flag in the top tier competition-Caf Champions League.

K’Ogalo , who will be playing in the competition for the second year running, will kick off their campaign at home when they host Malawi’s Nyasa Big Bullets in the preliminary rounds.

The winner of the two-legged encounter will face either Lobi Stars of Nigeria or UMS de Loum of Cameroon as they battle for a place in the group stages.
