AFC Leopards closing in on Rwandan keeper Eric Ndayishimiye

Rwandan goalkeeper Eric Ndayishimiye is set to sign a two-year deal with Kenyan Premier League side AFC Leopards.

Ndayishimiye has confirmed that Ingwe made advances on him, though the deal is being delayed by the protracted battle between the player and his former club, Rayon Sports.

“I and AFC Leopards are in advanced talks. All I am waiting for is a release letter from Rayon Sports so I can be offered a contract. I will sign a two-year deal.”

Meanwhile, sources at Ingwe have confirmed to Goal.com that the club has agreed on a deal and it will be made official once Ndayishimiye gets his release letter from the club.

"A two year deal between the club and the player has been reached, and it will be made official soon. What has delayed the matter is the failure by his former side Rayon Sports to hand him a release letter, but once that is done, the announcement will be made.

"No, the business is not yet done, we are still in the market for a striker, probably two and targets have been identified."

AFC Leopards will be aiming at securing their first KPL title since 1988 when the season kicks-off on December 8.
