Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Philadelphia Eagles NFL Preview: Team news, betting, tickets, live stream, Fantasy Football and more

Two unbeaten heavyweights collide on Sunday as the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles (3-0) square off with one of the league's hottest risers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-0) at the Raymond James Stadium.

Tampa Bay has shown nerves of steel in tight finishes, grinding out wins over the Falcons, Texans, and Jets. Baker Mayfield has rediscovered his late-game magic, while rookie wideout Emeka Egbuka keeps proving he belongs on the big stage.

Philadelphia, meanwhile, has navigated a gauntlet of contenders, taking down Dallas, Kansas City, and Los Angeles. Their 33-26 triumph over the Rams is already the stuff of highlight reels, capped by not one but two blocked field goals returned for touchdowns — the second sealing the game in dramatic fashion.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers team news

The Buccaneers may finally be getting a pair of key reinforcements back in the fold, as wide receiver Chris Godwin and left tackle Tristan Wirfs edge closer to a return. Both were limited participants in practice last week, but the team never seriously considered rushing them onto the field against the Jets in Week 3.

That hasn't slowed Tampa Bay's hot start, though. The Bucs remain unbeaten thanks to the late-game magic of Baker Mayfield, who has now orchestrated three straight go-ahead drives in the final minute — an NFL first. Against New York, after the Jets stunned the crowd with a blocked field goal returned for a touchdown, Mayfield calmly led a seven-play, 48-yard march to set up Chase McLaughlin’s decisive 36-yarder.

McLaughlin drilled five kicks in total, including bombs from 55 and 54 yards, while rookie wideout Emeka Egbuka kept turning heads with six grabs for 85 yards, highlighted by some circus catches.

Philadelphia Eagles team news

The Eagles, meanwhile, had their own dramatic ending in Week 3. With the Rams lining up for a game-winner, defensive tackle Jordan Davis swatted the kick, scooped it up, and rumbled the other way for a touchdown.

That capped off a statement win in which Jalen Hurts rediscovered his rhythm, tossing three scores to A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert

Hurts now sports a 100.5 passer rating along with 117 rushing yards and four scores on the ground. Defensively, Davis and Jalen Carter continue to wreak havoc in the trenches, while rookie safety Andrew Mukuba has added juice to the secondary with a pick and half a sack.

Buccaneers vs Eagles Fantasy Football

Baker Mayfield (17.7 projected W4 fpts) is treading carefully in fantasy circles heading into Week 4. Injuries have thinned his supporting cast, and a minor arm/hand tweak of his own keeps expectations tempered. Still, he’s quietly making a case for NFL MVP, completing 61% of his throws for 615 yards and tying for fifth in the league with six passing touchdowns.

Rookie Emeka Egbuka has quickly emerged as his go-to weapon, racking up 191 receiving yards and four scores — already showing the chemistry with Mayfield that could pay off big if the Bucs want to challenge the Eagles without Mike Evans.

Bucky Irving (12.1 projected fpts) remains a solid fantasy play, with heavy involvement even if efficiency hasn’t always followed. The return of Tristan Wirfs bolsters Tampa’s offensive line just in time to face Philly’s pass rush, giving Mayfield a better shot to carve up the Eagles’ defense.

On the other side, Jalen Hurts (21.4 projected fpts) is a dependable mid-range QB1 after lighting up the Rams with four touchdowns last week. While his rushing remains the real threat, his passing upside is creeping back into elite territory.

Saquon Barkley (15.3 projected fpts) hasn’t dominated yet, averaging just 3.3 yards per carry, but he’s still been productive with 194 rushing yards, 233 total yards, and two TDs. AJ Brown (9.7 fpts) is hitting his stride too, eclipsing 100 receiving yards last week, and will be a major focal point against Tampa’s secondary in Week 4.

Buccaneers vs Eagles Game Predictions

The Buccaneers are expected to get a huge boost with Tristan Wirfs and Chris Godwin back in the fold for Week 4 — hardly ideal news for the Eagles. Tampa already boasts one of the stingiest run defenses in football, surrendering just 84 yards per game and 3.6 a pop, and with a full-strength receiver corps, they've got the firepower to really stress Philly's shaky secondary.

That said, this battle of unbeatens tilts toward Jalen Hurts. The Eagles carry the deeper, more complete roster, fortified by Saquon Barkley's ground game and Vic Fangio's veteran defense. While Tampa's 3-0 mark looks shiny, the razor-thin point differential and reliance on late-game magic make them feel ripe for a stumble.

Yes, Baker Mayfield has been clutch, but against Hurts' dual-threat dynamism, the margin for error disappears. Don’t be surprised if Philly reminds the league why they’re champions, handing the Bucs their first blemish while cruising to 4-0.
