Alvin Kamara remains the engine of the backfield, already racking up 144 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, New Orleans has been giving up 23 points and 310 yards per game, with Demario Davis leading the charge at 20 tackles, Carl Granderson piling up 3.5 sacks, and Pete Werner breaking up a pair of passes.

Seahawks vs Saints Fantasy Football

The Seattle Seahawks defense is shaping up as one of the premier plays of the week. Under Mike Macdonald, this unit continues to show real promise, currently sitting 9th in the league rankings. On the other side, the New Orleans Saints limp in with the NFL’s 28th-ranked offense. Add in the deafening roar of the “12th Man” at Lumen Field—widely regarded as the loudest stadium in football—and the stage looks set for New Orleans to slide to 0-3. Oddsmakers have the Saints pegged for just 17.5 points.

Sam Darnold (16.5 projected W3 fpts) delivered a bounce-back showing in Week 2, going 22-of-33 (66.7%) for 295 yards (8.9 YPA) and two touchdowns. His day wasn’t flawless—two costly interceptions crept in—but overall he looks like a strong streaming option for fantasy managers, especially those scrambling after an early QB injury or working with two-QB formats. The Saints defense hasn’t exactly been intimidating, surrendering 18.3 fantasy points to Kyler Murray and 21.8 to Mac Jones across the first two weeks. With almost no pass rush to speak of, New Orleans plays right into Darnold’s strengths.

On the other side, Spencer Rattler (13.3 projected W3 fpts) finally gave fantasy managers something to smile about. He cracked the top 10 with a QB9 finish (21.7 points), tossing three touchdowns despite averaging just 6.1 yards per attempt on 207 yards. Rattler also added 14 yards on the ground, showing he can at least chip in as a dual-threat when needed.

The Saints have come up short in back-to-back outings against the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers. While there are no points handed out for "moral victories," Spencer Rattler and company have shown enough grit to suggest they can keep things tight in Seattle, too. 

According to ESPN's projections, New Orleans has a 35.7% chance of pulling off the upset in Week 3, with the rest of the odds leaving room for a potential stalemate.
