Brighton have won the last two encounters against Manchester United and will be in high spirits. Even more astonishing is their record of three successive away wins at Old Trafford. A fourth consecutive win at the Theatre of Dreams would pile pressure on Amorim.

Senne Lammens impressed in his first few outings. He would be torn between picking Manuel Ugarte and Casemiro in the pivot. Patrick Dorgu will be a contender for the left-wingback spot as Amad Diallo moves into attack ahead of Mason Mount. Sesko would be the favourite to lead the line.

The Last Meeting

Manchester United were reeling last season when they welcomed the Seagulls. Baleba split United's defence open with a long ball as Mitoma squared it for Yankuba Minteh to open the scoring in the fifth minute. Fernandes restored parity midway through the first half from the penalty spot. Brighton were relentless in the second half as Joao Pedro had a goal chalked off. Mitoma got on the scoresheet himself before a terrible error from custodian Andre Onana helped Georginio Rutter make it 3-1. Old Trafford was half empty when the referee blew his full-time whistle and was echoing with boos. The Seagulls picked up their third win on the spin at Old Trafford and piled more misery on the hosts.
