📝 Bio: I have been a sports lover for as long as I can remember. After finding out I wasn't good enough to play sports professionally, I deemed the next best thing to do was to write about it. I received a BA (Honours) degree from the University of Birmingham in 2013, and after five years in news journalism, I have worked in sports journalism for the last five years.

My Football Story: My dad grew up supporting Leeds United, and as I worshipped the big man, I followed in his footsteps - despite the majority of my wider family cheering for Manchester United. I became a diehard Leeds fan when we got relegated to League One in the late 2000s, the lowest point in the club's history. This club may lead to my early demise, but Leeds can also bring me a lot of unabashed joy, along with uncontrolled rage.
🎯 Areas of Expertise:

  • The highs and lows of Leeds United
  • Brighton and Hove Albion
  • Premier League and Championship analysis

🌟 Favourite Footballing Memory: As a fan, wildly celebrating Leeds' return to the Premier League after 16 years in 2020. As a player, I got the chance to play at Brighton's Amex Stadium a couple of years after having hip surgery. Tackling an opponent and then shouting 'Have it!' as the ball flew into the stands was a personal highlight.

Enzo Maresca has singled out one Chelsea player following their dismal 3-1 loss to lowly Leeds United. The Blues came into the Elland Road clash off the back of a 3-0 win over Barcelona and a 1-1 draw with Arsenal - a game where they were a man down for more than 45 minutes. Although they were beaten by Daniel Farke's side in midweek, Maresca doesn't think their lack of experience had much to do with it.

  2. Struggling Isak 'expected to do much more' at Liverpool

Alexander Isak has admitted he expected to do "much more" at Liverpool after a slow start to life at Anfield. The striker joined the Reds from Newcastle United for a Premier League record fee of £125 million ($167m) but so far he has failed to fire. However, those watching the draw had to wait a long time to find out the results, something Tuchel believes they could have "done without".

Ghana boss Otto Addo has urged Antoine Semenyo to take the "next step" and leave Bournemouth amid links with Liverpool and Manchester City. The 25-year-old has a £65 million ($87m) release clause, which is only active until a specific date in the January transfer window. As teams consider a move for him, his national manager thinks it is "natural" for the flying winger to secure a transfer away.

The visitors got it back to 2-2 before Phil Foden's stoppage-time winner secured all three points on Saturday at the Etihad.

  1. Diaz and Jackson leave it late to snatch last-gasp Bayern win

Stoppage-time goals from Luis Diaz and Nicolas Jackson helped secure Bayern Munich a 3-1 comeback win against a dogged St. Pauli side. It looked like Vincent Kompany's side would have to settle for a point but Diaz and Jackson had other ideas.

Ahead of this encounter, the Chelsea ace admits she has had to adjust to this new role in Williamson's absence.

  3. The secret to Arsenal's success? Zubimendi likened to Rodri

Former Spain star Gaizka Mendieta believes that Martin Zubimendi is becoming just as important to Arsenal as Rodri has been for years at Manchester City. Now, only being at the club for a few months, he is already being hailed as a vital component to their success.
