Eintracht Frankfurt are riding a wave of positive results at a pivotal moment for the club, both on and off the pitch. Back-to-back victories over Hamburger SV, a 3:1 DFB-Pokal win followed by a 3:1 Bundesliga success at the Deutsche Bank Park, have lifted the mood considerably after a difficult start to the season that saw the club sit as low as 14th. Frankfurt now sit eighth in the Bundesliga with 11 points from eight games, and the wins have given coach Adolf Hütter a platform to demand more consistency from his squad.

Off the pitch, the club is working through a significant leadership transition. Sporting director Markus Krösche departed on his own request, ending a tenure that included the 2022 Europa League triumph but was latterly clouded by poor transfer decisions and off-field controversy. Frankfurt's preferred replacement, former club captain Christoph Spycher, turned down the role. Joti Chatzialexiou from 1. FC Nürnberg has since emerged as the frontrunner, with talks already held at board level. A deal is expected soon, though Nürnberg has publicly denied contact.

The incoming director will inherit a squad with genuine upside. Striker Younes Ebnoutalib, who cost just eight million euros in January, has developed into one of the Bundesliga's sharpest forwards with six goals this season and has attracted reported interest from Juventus and Tottenham. Goalkeeper Noah Atubolu, on loan from Freiburg, is set to join permanently for twelve million euros next summer. Frankfurt travel to Paderborn on 7 November looking to extend their run.
