Sporting director Max Eberl delivered a frank assessment at the Tegernsee training camp on Wednesday, declaring the squad essentially complete after the signings of Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari, with teenage midfielder Bara Ndiaye's permanent deal also close to being finalised. The message was unambiguous: the club is done buying and now focused on trimming the roster.

Eberl named loan returnees Joao Palhinha, Bryan Zaragoza, and Sacha Boey as players with no future at the club, warning that any of the three who choose to stay will find themselves in a difficult position. No concrete transfer has materialised for any of them yet, which keeps that situation unresolved heading into August.

On the positive side, the club's key stars appear committed. Eberl ruled out selling Alphonso Davies, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has firmly shut down Michael Olise exit talk, and contract negotiations with Harry Kane are set to begin in early August when the striker returns from his extended World Cup break. Kane, who turned 33 this week, is expected to sign a deal running at least until 2029 at his current salary level.

The injury picture is mixed. Saibari has been diagnosed with a muscle fibre tear sustained at the World Cup, which represents a relatively positive outcome. Jamal Musiala, recovering from surgery to remove a metal plate following his serious ankle injury, is on track to return after the Asia tour and should be available for the August 22 Supercup against Borussia Dortmund. That fixture now serves as the first meaningful deadline for Bayern's pre-season assembly.
