Bayern Munich
Summary

Bayern Munich's summer has been defined by two pressing concerns: a heavily depleted squad at the start of pre-season training and growing uncertainty over the future of Michael Olise. Vincent Kompany began the new campaign with just six senior players available at Säbener Straße, as reported by GOAL, with World Cup participants including Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala and Dayot Upamecano among those absent. Musiala underwent surgery to remove a metal plate from his foot after the tournament, while Alphonso Davies and new signing Ismael Saibari are also recovering from injuries. The disruption will carry into Bayern's Asia tour in early August, where Kompany must again work with a skeleton group.

Overlaying all of this is the Olise situation. Multiple reports, including coverage from GOAL, suggest the 24-year-old told France teammates during the World Cup that he wants to join Real Madrid. Bayern are pushing for a contract extension and plan a direct conversation with the winger about his future. Real Madrid have privately assessed a deal as nearly impossible for now, as GOAL noted, though interest from the Spanish club has not disappeared entirely. Olise's agent previously told Bayern not to worry, but the club cannot afford complacency over one of its most important players.

Elsewhere, the squad is being reshaped. Noel Aseko has joined Eintracht Frankfurt for around 13 million euros, confirmed by GOAL, while Joao Palhinha returned to training despite Bayern wanting to sell the Portuguese midfielder. The first test of the new season comes on 25 July against Wehen Wiesbaden, with the Bundesliga opener against Stuttgart on 28 August.

£117m?! Chelsea have enormously overpaid for Rogers

For some football fans, the summer is the part of the calendar that they look forward to the most - and that's not just because it's filled by a World Cup every four years! Rather, it's because the end of the season means only one thing: It's time for transfers! The 2026 window is once again proving to be busy, with some huge names making big-money moves before deadline day on September 1.

Harry Kane

‘Sorry Tottenham’ - Why Kane will not be rejoining Spurs

Harry Kane faces a defining summer following England's disappointing exit from the World Cup, but his club future at Bayern Munich is becoming increasingly clear. Despite persistent rumors linking the Three Lions captain with a romantic return to Tottenham or a blockbuster move to Real Madrid, the goal-scoring machine appears settled in Bavaria.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly withdrawn from the race to sign Bayern Munich standout Michael Olise. The French champions are unwilling to engage in a bidding war or match the €200 million asking price, leaving Real Madrid in pole position. Olise is reportedly determined to secure a blockbuster switch to the Santiago Bernabeu after a sensational season in Germany.

Kane's most painful failure yet could cost him Ballon d'Or

It was a surprise, in truth, that it took reporters so long to ask Harry Kane about his future. The England striker stood there in the mixed zone, after a devastating 2-1 loss to Argentina, faced with the damning end to a remarkable season. And not until the third question did someone ask the England captain what might be next for him.
