It seemed when Kostas Mitroglou received a pass with the goal gaping that he would give the Portuguese league leaders the edge in Saturday’s clash at the Estadio de Luz, but Casillas showed impressive foot speed and reflexes to get across and push away an effort that was not cleanly struck.

Jonas had opened the scoring from the penalty spot for the league leaders, but Porto had hit back through Maxi Pereira early in the second half.

Although he was unable to attain a 17th shutout of the league season, the Spaniard has managed to keep his side firmly in the title hunt. A second defeat of the season would have seen them drop four points behind their rivals.
