Schneiderlin replaces Diarra in France Euro 2016 squad
France have confirmed that Lassana Diarra will miss Euro 2016, with Morgan Schneiderlin taking his place at the tournament.
The Marseille player had been suffering from inflammation on his left knee, which did not impede Didier Deschamps from originally calling him up in his 23-man list.
But he was unable to recover in time for the home championships, giving Schneiderlin the chance to shine after being ommitted from the original squad.
The Manchester United man has appeared 13 times for France, and is yet to net his first goal in international colours.
Diarra's injury is another blow for Deschamps, who has seen several of his original choices ruled out of action.

Barcelona's Jeremy Mathieu and Real Madrid's Raphael Varane have also been removed from the squad due to injury, with Rami and Samuel Umtiti coming in.
Schneiderlin's United colleague Anthony Martial, meanwhile, missed France's friendly with Cameroon, although he is expected to regain full fitness ahead of the Euros.
