Cristiano Ronaldo has been backed to “score tons of goals” for Juventus, with Mauro Camoranesi confident the proven marksman will recover from a slow start.
Big things are expected from the five-time Ballon d’Or winner wherever he goes, and his time in Turin is proving to be no exception.
Having invested €112 million (£101m/$130m) in the 33-year-old Portuguese, Juve are looking for an immediate return on their show of faith.
They have been frustrated through two Serie A outings to date, with match-winning efforts being provided by others so far, but Ronaldo is being backed to rediscover the form which has made him a modern day icon and one of the greatest frontmen of all-time.
Former Bianconeri star Camoranesi told Tuttosport: “We’re talking about a player who has scored more than 500 goals, with exceptional qualities.

“Just because he didn’t score in his first two games, it doesn’t mean anything. It’s just one of those things.
“He’ll score tons of goals before the end of the season. He has everything, explosive power, pace and technique.
“Many teams in Italy defend with many players in their own half. This limits the space he has, so an understanding with his teammates is needed to find it, as well as his great power.
“The ideal way to feed him would be to give him the ball with only one or two opponents for him to get past, but that’ll hardly happen in Italy.
“What is for certain is that Juve’s players, with their qualities, won’t struggle to understand each other.
“Juventus have so much quality that in attack, everyone can play with each other and everyone will be important.
“[Massimiliano] Allegri will be able to make changes and keep standards high.”
Ronaldo’s next opportunity to open his account for Juve is set to arrive on Saturday when the reigning Serie A champions travel to Parma.
