The Blues were mooted as potential suitors in the summer, and Maurizio Sarri has continued to keep tabs on the Argentina international.

With Alvaro Morata continuing to misfire for the west London club, Sarri is now ready to offer the Spaniard in part exchange for Higuain in January.

Monaco keen on Fabregas

Kalinic is said to have undergone a medical in Birmingham on Thursday and will be eligible to play for the Championship side from next month.
