Besiktas turn down Hammers' Medel bid


Turkish side Besiktas have rejected an approach from West Ham to sign Chilean midfielder Gary Medel, report TalkSport.

The former Cardiff City player joined the club from Inter Milan 2017, but the Istanbul outfit have turned down the Hammers' £6.5million approach. 

Robinho to join Istanbul Basaksehir


Istanbul Basaksehir have announced the signing of former Brazil star Robinho, who joins their push for a first Turkish Super Lig title.

The Brazilian joins from fellow Turkish club Sivasspor, having made a strong impression so far in his time in the country.

Robinho has scored eight goals for Sivasspor in the Super Lig this season, with only two players more prolific in the division in 2018-19.

West Ham make Nasri offer


West Ham have offered Samir Nasri a six-month contract worth £80,000-a-week, report the Mirror.

Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini spent three seasons with Nasri at Manchester City, winning the 2014 Premier League title, but the France international was loaned out to Sevilla when Pep Guardiola took over. 

Henry eyes Dembele


Tottenham's Mousa Dembele is a target for Thierry Henry's Monaco when his contract expires this summer, according to Le Sport 10.

The Belgium international has been surplus to requirements under Mauricio Pochettinoe this season, and will look to resurrect his career in Ligue 1 as Henry attempts to life the team from the principality out of relegation danger. 

Huddersfield keen on Solanke loan


Huddersfield Town are looking to snap up Liverpool's Dominic Solanke on loan, reports the Daily Mail.

Solanke, 21, is yet to feature in a single match for the Merseysiders this season as he continues behind the likes of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge in the Anfield pecking order.

Barca not ruling out Rabiot transfer


Barcelona are keeping their cards close to their chest when it comes to reported interest in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The France international is heading towards the exit door at Parc des Princes as his deal runs down.

With no extension in place, he will be free to discuss pre-contract terms with suitors outside of his homeland from January.

Spurs don't need January signings, says Kane


Harry Kane believes Tottenham can challenge for the Premier League title without signing new players in January.

The London side did not bring in any new faces before the season started but sit second in the table as the transfer window approaches.

With Liverpool leading the league and Manchester City still in contention, Mauricio Pochettino's men have a lot of work to do if they are to maintain their challenge.

Although some pundits and fans believe they need some investment to keep up with their rivals, Kane is confident the squad is already strong enough to go the distance.

Juventus boss considered as Pochettino alternative

Manchester United have identified Massimiliano Allegri as an option to take the helm at Old Trafford in the summer, says ESPN.

Mauricio Pochettino is said to be the top candidate to become Jose Mourinho's permanent replacement when the season comes to an end, but Real Madrid are also reportedly eyeing him up, while Tottenham are determined to keep him.

United could instead turn to the Juventus boss, who is said to fancy trying his hand at managing in the Premier League.


Alderweireld contract extended by Spurs


Tottenham have triggered the option to extend Toby Alderweireld's contract for another season, Mauricio Pochettino confirmed.

The Belgian centre-back had been linked with a move to Manchester United and would have been able to enter negotiations with them over a free summer move with his contract expiring at the end of the season.

But Pochettino says the former Ajax star is set to remain in London for another season, having activated the clause in his deal.

Pirlo urges Juventus to sign Ramsey from Arsenal


Aaron Ramsey would be a "great purchase" for Juventus, says Andrea Pirlo.

The midfielder can leave Arsenal in a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season, with Bayern Munich, Inter, Juventus and Chelsea among the clubs said to be interested.

And Pirlo hopes the Italian champions can lure the Wales international to Serie A, as he believes he would do "very well" in Massimiliano Allegri's team.

Bayern told January deal for Lucas is impossible


But Atletico won't rule out summer move

Atletico Madrid director Miguel Angel Gil Marin has warned Bayern Munich that they have no chance of signing Lucas Hernandez in January.

The German side are reportedly eyeing a move for the France international defender in the next transfer window, but they may have to wait until the end of the season before the Spanish side will open negotiations.

"The player cannot leave Atletico Madrid in this winter transfer window," he told Goal and Spox. "We have a good relationship with Bayern and will meet with them in January to evaluate the situation.

“If the player wants to leave we will talk about it - but only about a transfer in July.”

Spurs hope to raise £75m from January sales


Dembele & Wanyama to be offloaded

Tottenham are plotting a clearance that will see the likes of Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama be sold in January, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side hope to bring in over £75 million ($95m) next month, with Dembele, Wanyama, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, Vincent Janssen Fernando Llorente and Michel Vorm all likely to be offloaded.

Spurs already have too many players in their squad, so may not make many signings next month, but will likely at least try to sign a new striker to act as backup to star man Harry Kane.

Van La Parra to leave Huddersfield


Huddersfield winger Rajiv van La Parra will join Middlesbrough in January, Hartlepool Mail claims.

The Dutchman had been courted by the the Teesside outfit and Leeds United but has opted for the former and has been scheduled for a medical with the club.

The 27-year-old will join on loan initially, but Middlesbrough will have an option to buy him at the end of the season.

Rabiot's mum demands more money from Barcelona


Negotiations between Barcelona and Adrien Rabiot have become tense in recent weeks after the midfielder's mother demanded more money from the Spanish champions, Mundo Deportivo says.

The France international looks set to leave the Ligue 1 side in January, with Barca, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester City and Bayern Munich all said to be interested in him before his contract runs out at the end of the season.

He is said to have reached a verbal agreement with the Catalan side, but no paper has been signed yet and his mother, who acts as his agent, has demanded the Catalan side improve their offer if they are to land him next month.


Real Madrid lead chase for Davinson Sanchez


Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez looks set to leave north London next year, with Real Madrid the frontrunners to secure his services.

According to Don Balon, the Colombian has grown frustrated by his lack of playing time at Spurs and with PSG, AC Milan and Barcelona all interested in signing him, he may seek regular football elsewhere.

However, Madrid are leading the chase for Sanchez against their major European rivals, with a €60m (£54m, $68m) offer already mooted.

Barcelona interested in the 'new Varane'


Toulouse centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo is the subject of interest from Barcelona, as club boss Ernesto Valverde aims to bolster his defensive options.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the 18-year-old has already been dubbed the 'new Varane' and has been widely tipped for a big future at both club and international level.

The Frenchman is also being monitored by Juventus, Man United and Napoli, after impressing in Ligue 1 during the first half of the season.

Rafinha: It's my last season at Bayern


Bayern Munich right-back Rafinha expects to leave the club at the end of the season.

The Brazil international joined the Bundesliga side in 2011 and has made over 250 appearances since, but has featured just nine times in the German top flight this term.

His contract expires at the end of the season and he does not expect to renew his deal with the Bavarian giants.

"There is a lot going on in the next six months, but I think it's my last year," he told SporTV.

"I have not talked to anyone yet, out of respect for Bayern, but I think this cycle is coming to an end, I'm going to rest easy and enjoy these last six months.

"I think it's a possibility to go back to Brazil, but I'm not talking with anybody yet."

Messi wants Neymar back at Barcelona


Lionel Messi says he would "love" to see Neymar return to Barcelona from Paris Saint-Germain.

Neymar became the most expensive player in history when he left the Catalan side for the French capital in 2017, but has since been linked with a return to Camp Nou and a move to Real Madrid.

After seeing his former attacking partner leave in such acrimonious circumstances, Messi knows it would be tough to bring Neymar back to Barca, but the Argentine still wants to see it happen.

Jese & Diarra to join Weah in PSG exit


Lassana Diarra and Jese Rodriguez are likely to follow Timothy Weah on the way out of Paris Saint-Germain, claims Le Parisien.

Weah has been tipped to join Celtic on loan after confirming he is set for a temporary switch in January, but more changes are in store for Thomas Tuchel's team.

Former Real Madrid player Jese has not played at all this season and is looking for a way out of the capital club this winter.

Meanwhile, Diarra's contract runs out at the end of the season and PSG are hoping to offload him, but interested clubs are reluctant to approach him because of his high salary.

Hazard warned he won't be sold until summer


Thorgan Hazard is attracting interest from some big names in Europe for his star displays, but he will have to wait until the end of the season if he wants to leave Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 25-year-old has been one of the Bundesliga's top performers so far this season with nine goals and six assists in 17 matches, drawing attention from Liverpool, Tottenham and Sevilla as the January transfer window approaches.

He is entering the final 18 months of his contract with the German side, but Bild claims the club hierarchy are not ready to cash in on him yet and have told him he will not be allowed to leave until the end of the season.

Frenkie De Jong green-lights Barcelona switch


Ajax midfielder Frenkie De Jong has agreed terms on a move to Barcelona next year, according to Diario Sport.

The Dutchman has held successful negotiations with the Spanish giants ahead of a proposed switch to the Camp Nou at the end of the season.

Manchester City, Bayern Munich and PSG have also been chasing De Jong, but it is understood he favours a transfer to Barca.

According to the Daily Mail, Los Blancos would happily allow Kovacic to join the Blues permanently at the end of the season, while also giving the greenlight for Isco to move to Stamford Bridge in order to land Hazard.

Madrid are hellbent on securing the Belgian's services next year, with his current contract at Chelsea set to expire in 2020.

PSG will try to sign Ramsey in January


Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has held talks with Paris Saint Germain over a potential winter transfer, according to L'Equipe.

The French champions hope to secure the Welshman on an 18-month deal, with a final fee reportedly in the region of €20m (£18m, $23m).

Ramsey is set to leave Arsenal for free upon the expiration of his current contract next summer, but he could also be acquired for a bargain price when the transfer window reopens.

Real Betis full-back Junior Firpo is the subject of interest from Real Madrid, who hope to sign him next summer.

According to AS, Los Blancos are prepared to meet the 22-year-old's €50m ($57m/£45m) buy-out clause, with Juventus also in the race to secure his services.

Madrid hope that Junior can serve as a long-term replacement for Marcelo, who is approaching the latter stages of his career at 31.

Arsenal 'close' to signing Ever Banega


Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega has emerged as a primary transfer target for Arsenal, according to the Daily Star.

Argentine journalist Roberto Martinez took to social media to break the news, as he stated: "Ever Banega is close to leaving Sevilla to go to Arsenal by express request of Unai Emery."

Emery may be looking to the 30-year-old as a direct replacement for Aaron Ramsey, who is set to leave Emirates Stadium in the summer.

With the club struggling, Milan's board decided that Gattuso needed to pick up six points from this week's games against Frosinone and SPAL.

But Milan drew Frosinone 0-0 on Wednesday, meaning Gattuso will not reach that goal and will lose his job before Milan take a two-week winter break. 

Barcelona make offer to Rabiot

Barcelona have made an offer of a €10 million (£9m/$11m) annual salary plus a €10m signing bonus to PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot, reports Paris United.

The 23-year-old's contract with PSG expires at the end of the season, and his mother and agent has already declared that he will not re-sign with the Ligue 1 champions. 

Barca hope to land Rabiot in January for a transfer fee, otherwise PSG will force the midfielder to sit out the rest of the season before moving to the Blaugrana on a free in the summer. 

PSG open talks over Doucoure move


PSG have begun talks with Watford over a transfer for midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure, claims the Daily Mail. 

Watford value the 25-year-old Frenchman at £45 million (€50m/$57m), a figure that PSG have yet to reach.  

Though they do not wish to lose Doucoure, Watford are already lining up Nice midfielder Adrien Tameze as a replacement should they be forced to sell.
