Toronto sign Laryea


Toronto have announced the signing of midfielder Richie Laryea.

The 24-year-old had been on trial with the MLS club ahead of the 2019 campaign, but has been offered a full-time deal.

Laryea had previously played for Orlando City SC and Orlando City B and will wear the number 24 jersey for Toronto.

Metgod leaves Forest


Nottingham Forest director John Metgod has left the club to take on a new role as assistant coach of the U.A.E national team.

"I have very much enjoyed my time at the club and I would like to wish Martin [O’Neill] and the team the best of luck for the remainder of the season,” Metgod told the club’s website.

"Everyone knows about my love for the people at the club and in the city so this was a very difficult decision for me. The club is moving in the right direction both on and off the pitch and it is a very exciting time for all connected, especially the supporters."

Heber signs for New York City


New York City have announced the signing of Heber from Croatian side HNK Rijeka.

Heber told “I’m feeling super motivated for this new challenge in my life. I hope to reach great things with my new teammates for this club.

“When they showed me the project and what they plan to reach, those were the fundamental points that helped my decision to come to NYCFC.

“I saw the project and the whole structure, videos about the league and the city, these were all very important aspects. I’m sure it will be an amazing step in my career."

Real keen on Kane and Mane


Real Madrid are fans of Harry Kane and Sadio Mane claimed European football commentator Kevin Hatchard.

However, Hatchard does not expect either to join Los Blancos anytime soon.

“Kane and Mane are not realistic, because they’ve recently signed long-term contracts,” the commentator told talkSPORT.

“Mane has always spoken in glowing terms about working for Jurgen Klopp. He seems very happy and Liverpool are clearly heading in the right direction

“I’d be very surprised if he made that move to Real, and it’s the same with Harry Kane. Kane is very much Mr Spurs and as long as Mauricio Pochettino is there I think Kane will stay.”

Barca and Real want Skriniar claims agent


The agent of Inter defender Milan Skriniar has claimed both Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested in signing his client.

“Real Madrid want to sign him, so do Barcelona,” claimed Mital Halis, a partner at the Star & Friends agency which takes care of the player's interests.

“Whoever can convince Inter to let him go will sign him this summer. Skriniar is a model professional.

“If Real Madrid want him, they could get him but there are other agents who have a vested interest in taking players where they want.”

Hoeness reveals Man City transfer policy


Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has revealed that Pep Guardiola travels to see Sheikh Mansour and shows him videos of a transfer target to get the green light to make a big-money signing for Manchester City.

Guardiola was Bayern head coach for three years from 2013 to 2016, winning three Bundesliga titles and two DFB Pokal trophies, and is seemingly still in touch with Hoeness.

And the 67-year-old has now insisted that the Spaniard has told him that he flies over to see City owner Sheikh Mansour when he is eager to push through a big transfer, showing him video clips of the player in action.

Christian Eriksen has a strong chance of leaving Tottenham for Real Madrid this summer, according to TalkSport.

The Denmark midfielder has less than 18 months remaining on his contract, and is yet to commit to a new deal at White Hart Lane.

Alaba could be interested in Premier League switch


Bayern Munich star David Alaba has opened the door to a potential move to the Premier League, insisting that he can "imagine" himself playing in England or Spain.

Man City want Camara


Manchester City are hoping of signing young Benfica star Ronaldo Camara.

City are reportedly keen on bolstering their youth squads, and according to the Evening Standard, plan on bringing the Portuguese underage international to the Etihad.

However, they could face from Manchester United and Barcelona, who are also monitoring Camara.

EFL clubs announce transfer window changes


The EFL have announced that clubs in League One and Two will be given an extra three weeks to sign players this summer.

The window closed on August 9 in 2018 with clubs from the third and fourth tier claiming this did not give them enough time to make signings given their smaller budgets and scouting teams.

However, the EFL announced in a statement that sides in League One and Two will now be given until the end of August to sign players, but this change will not apply to Championship clubs.

“By adopting this approach, EFL clubs have been given the opportunity to determine the direction of travel, with our priority ensuring that everyone has a clear understanding of the arrangements as soon as possible so as to ensure plans can be put in place for next season,” said EFL chief executive Shaun Harvey.

“This week's vote indicates strong support for a difference in approach across the Championship and Leagues One and Two and proposals will be finalised ahead of a formal vote at an extraordinary general meeting in April,” he added.

Higuain facing testing future fight


Gonzalo Higuain is under pressure to perform better to secure his long-term future after at Chelsea after Juventus indicated they do not want the striker back, Goal understands.

The 31-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window after Chelsea took over the loan from AC Milan, but he has only three goals in 10 appearances and is struggling to justify the £31.3 million it would take to make a stint in west London permanent.

Liverpool want to cut short Loris Karius' loan spell at Besiktas and sell him permanently this summer - according to the Daily Star.

The German shot-stopper has not impressed in Turkey since signing a two-year loan deal with the Black Eagles and the Reds are reluctant to bring him back to Anfield.

Fulham are interested in appointing David Wagner as their new permanent manager this summer, according to iNews

Scott Parker was given the job of head coach on an interim basis after the Cottagers sacked Claudio Ranieri in February.

The Englishman remains a candidate for the permanent role but Wagner's name is also being discussed, two months after leaving his post at Huddersfield.

Roma to target Sarri if he gets sacked by Chelsea


Roma would be interested in bringing in Maurizio Sarri as their new manager should he be sacked by Chelsea.

Blues boss Sarri continues to be focused on his work at Stamford Bridge, although he remains under pressure as he oversees what has been a disappointing season up to now.

Claudio Ranieri was recently appointed as Roma's head coach until the end of the season following the departure of Eusebio Di Francesco, meaning there will be an opening with the Serie A side in the summer.

Real Madrid are prepared to launch a bid for West Ham midfielder Felipe Anderson in the event Chelsea do not sell Eden Hazard.

According to Sky Sports, the European champions have identified Hazard as their number one target, but Chelsea may keep hold of the Belgian if their transfer ban is upheld.

Anderson is being lined up as a backup option for Madrid, with a £65m ($85m) deal mooted.

Club boss Carlo Ancelotti has made the Mexican his number one transfer target this summer, but the Italian giants are likely to face stiff competition for his signature from Manchester United.

Lozano has contributed 15 goals and six assists in 24 Eredivisie appearances for PSV this season.

Pogba would be great for MLS, says Rooney


Wayne Rooney says Paul Pogba would be a “great” addition to MLS and hopes to one day see a former Manchester United team-mate follow his lead by securing a switch to America.

The English striker's debut campaign in America delivered 12 goals and a playoff berth, while the 2019 season has already seen him record his first hat-trick in MLS.

Rooney believes World Cup winner Pogba, who he played alongside across two spells at Old Trafford for the Frenchman, could make a similar impact if he ever decides to cross the Atlantic.

Man City defender Vincent Kompany is in talks over a new one-year contract at the Etihad Stadium - according to the Evening Standard.

Pep Guardiola wants to retain the Belgian's services despite his consistent injury issues, given his influence on the pitch and in the dressing room.

Kompany has only started eight Premier League games this term, falling behind John Stones and Aymeric Laporte in the pecking order at the club.

Bayern agree deal to sign Atletico's Hernandez


Bayern Munich have agreed on a deal to sign Atletico Madrid defender Lucas Hernandez this summer, according to Foot Mercato.

The Bavarians will sign the Frenchman on a four-year contract after meeting his €80m ($91m, £69m) buy-out clause at Wanda Metropolitano.

Hernandez has featured in 21 matches across all competitions for Atletico this season.

Kovacic doesn't want to return to Madrid


Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic does not want to return to the Santiago Bernabeu upon the expiration of his one-year loan deal at Chelsea.

According to Marca, the Croatian would prefer to join another club in the Premier League if the Blues reject the chance to sign him on a permanent deal.

Kovacic has featured in 40 matches across all competitions for Chelsea this season.

Solskjaer wants to offload Man Utd trio


Manchester United caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants Alexis Sanchez, Marcos Rojo and Antonio Valencia to leave the club this summer.

According to the Daily Star, the Norwegian has decided that Sanchez doesn't fit in with the ethos of his squad and his time is already up at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Rojo and Valencia will likely be sold to make room for younger talent, after slipping down the pecking order this season.

Spector picked Hibs over MLS


Former West Ham and Birmingham defender Jonathan Spector says he chose a move to Hibernian over offers in Major League Soccer. 

The U.S. international had an injury-hit stint with Orlando City and landed with the Scottish side last week. 

And while Spector says he had offers to stay in his homeland, he claims he was excited to move back across the Atlantic. 

"There was interest from the MLS but I'd spent 15 years playing in England and missed that style of football," he told the BBC

"The Scottish game is similar to what I was used to in the Championship with Birmingham - fast and physical. There is good quality that sometimes is overlooked.​"

Veracruz to have $25m to invest in squad next season


Veracruz will be looking to make a major investment in the playing squad ahead of next season as the club looks to solidify its place in Liga MX. 

The club has struggled to keep pace in Mexico’s top flight, but Mediotiempo claims that there are already plans in place to pay the fine to stay in Liga MX and the club will invest up to $25 million (£19m) in playing staff to ensure the avoidance of relegation in the future.  


Krstajic: Jovic can 'certainly' play for Barcelona


Luka Jovic has all the potential to play at a club like Barcelona, according to his international manager Mladen Krstajic. 

The striker was on target against Germany on Wendesday, and has been linked with a move to join the Spanish giants this summer. 

And Krstajic​ see no reason why his star man wouldn't be a hit with the La Liga giants, saying: "He certainly has the potential to play at such a club."

De Jong asked Koeman for Barca advice


Frenkie de Jong has confirmed he asked Netherlands head coach Ronald Koeman for advice before agreeing to join Barcelona from Ajax.

De Jong will link up with La Liga leaders Barca for the 2019-20 season after agreeing a move for an initial fee of €75 million (£65m/$85m), and he has now confirmed that he turned to a club legend for some advice on the move. 

"I've asked him a lot. I know that he's been successful over there," De Jong told reporters on Wednesday.

Borussia Dortmund have set a £100 million ($132m) price on young star Jadon Sancho, according to the Mirror

The England youngster is being heavily linked with Manchester United, with the club prepared to back Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when he is confirmed as the full-time boss. 

Sancho has been a revelation at Dortmund this year and could make his first competitive start for England as they open Euro 2020 qualifying against the Czech Republic on Friday night.
