Ozil travels to Turkey to seal Fenerbahce move


Mesut Ozil is on his way to Turkey to complete his free transfer to Fenerbahce.

The 32-year-old said his goodbyes to his Arsenal team-mates and staff at the club’s London Colney training base on Sunday, bringing to an end his seven-and-a-half-year stay in north London.

Arsenal have given him permission to travel to Istanbul where he will now undergo a medical before finalising his switch to Fenerbahce, the club he grew up supporting as a boy.

Bayern & Barca-linked Adeyemi explains Chelsea snub


Red Bull Salzburg starlet Karim Adeyemi says he wants to play for a club that can win the Champions League, but he rejected Chelsea in the past because the move came too soon.

Adeyemi, now 18, has been linked with a move away from Salzburg, the finishing school where Erling Haaland and Sadio Mane among others have polished their skills.

For now, the youngster says he is fully focused on his goals with Salzburg, but he has lofty ambitions for the future. Bayern Munich and Barcelona are among the clubs to have been linked with a move.

Marseille negotiating with Napoli for Milik


Marseille are in negotiations with Napoli to sign forward Arkadiusz Milik, Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli has confirmed.

Fabrizio Romano reports the most recent bid is a loan deal with an obligation to buy for €8 million (£7m/$10m) plus a further €3m in add-ons.

Atletico to reignite interest in Lacazette


Atletico Madrid are set to re-ignite their interest in Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette - according to AS.

The current La Liga leaders were heavily linked with the 29-year-old last summer but a final deal never came to fruition.

Leverkusen's Bailey wants Premier League move


Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey wants to secure a move to the Premier League - according to BILD.

The 23-year-old, who has been linked with Manchester United in the past, is working with English agency Unique Sports Management to try and push a transfer over the line in 2021.

Bailey has scored four goals and laid on four assists in 15 Bundesliga appearances for Leverkusen this season.

Bayern urged to sign Upamecano


Markus Babbel has urged Bayern Munich to sign Dayot Upamecano to solve the defensive problems that have undermined their 2020-21 campaign so far.

Hansi Flick guided Bayern to their sixth Champions League title last season, while also delivering a ninth successive Bundesliga crown and record-extending 20th DFB-Pokal triumph.

Mario Mandzukic will join AC Milan on a six-month contract worth €1.8 million, according to Tancredi Palmeri.

If Milan qualify for the Champions League, another year's contract will be activated, worth €3.5m.

USMNT international Morris heading to Swansea


Championship side Swansea have agreed a deal to sign American international forward Jordan Morris on loan from the Seattle Sounders, reports The Athletic.

Subject to paperwork being finalised, Morris is expected to arrive in Wales in the coming week.

Huntelaar to join Schalke's relegation fight


Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has decided to return to Schalke to help his former side's fight against Bundesliga relegation, reports Bild.

The 37-year-old, currently at Ajax, scored more than 120 goals for Schalke between 2010 and 2017.

West Ham frustrated in striker search


David Moyes is frustrated at West Ham's unsuccessful search for a new striker in the January transfer window.

"We've already made big inquiries and offers for players at clubs, which have not been accepted or obviously we would have signed somebody," he said.

"It is not as if we are not trying to that, we have tried. But I need to get players who I think can make a difference and I want it to be someone who I think can help us.

"If I don't then I might need to look short-term, just to get me through to get me another player, but if not then I will use the young players or I will have to try and use someone else from the squad and see how we can do it."

The Hammers are light in attack with Sebastien Haller having left for Ajax.

Inter are yet to pay the first instalment of Achraf Hakimi's €40 million (£36m/$45m) transfer fee to Real Madrid, reports CalcioMercato.

President Steven Zhang is reportedly looking to sell the club - a claim which Zhang has denied - due to the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.

The first payment had been scheduled for December but it is reported the clubs agreed to delay the instalment until March.

AC Milan are close to securing moves for both Mario Mandzukic and Fikayo Tomori, according to Italian journalist Antonio Vitiello.

Mandzukic is available on a free transfer while Tomori is likely to move on a loan-to-buy deal from Chelsea.

Preston North End defender Ben White may have played his last game for the club amid links to Sheffield United and Celtic, says Preston boss Alex Neil.

West Ham boss David Moyes says the club have received no offers from Manchester United or Chelsea for Declan Rice.

They are also eyeing Benfica star Darwin Nunez.
