Bayern confirm Flick to remain


Hansi Flick will continue as head coach at Bayern Munich 'until further notice' says Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

The interim boss's reign got off to a perfect start as Borussia Dortmund were dispatched 4-0 in Saturday's Bundesliga clash.

Rummennige said "you can expect that" when asked if Flick would take charge for Bayern's next game, against Fortuna Dusseldorf after the international break.

Wolves sign Dutch teen


Nigel Lonwijk of PSV will join up with Wolves after the Premier League club agreed to pay a nominal fee for the 17-year-old defender.

ED in Lonwijk's native Netherlands say the player can move immediately as he is not a full-time professional.

He follows his brother out of the club, with the older Justin moving to FC Utrecht with no fee changing hands.

Celtic loanee's return to Glasgow likely to be brief


Manny Perez will be assessed at Celtic over the next few weeks but is likely to go back out on loan quickly.

The U.S. Under-20 international spent last season on loan at North Carolina FC and is now back in Scotland after the American season ended.

Football Insider expects he'll be sent back to his home country, with a MLS club being sought.

Atalanta look to make Pasalic switch permanent


Serie A club Atalanta would like to make the loan deal with Chelsea for Mario Pasalic a full time move.

The 24-year-old midfielder has been drawing rave reviews in Italy and according to Gazzetta dello Sport the Bergamo club will talk to the Blues at season's end.

The player himself is looking for a move after being frustrated by six different loan moves while on the books at Stamford Bridge.

Leicester's Perez nearly joined Valencia over Foxes


Leicester City winger Ayoze Perez says he was close to joining Valencia in the summer before deciding on the Foxes' "ambitious project", as reported by the Leicester Mercury.  

Monaco and Napoli were also linked with the 26-year-old, but it was Valencia that nearly tempted him back to his homeland.

“I miss the food, the weather and the life in Spain, of course I would like to return,” Perez said.

PSG pair set to leave this summer


Thiago Silva and Edinson Cavani are both set to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season, according to Le10Sport.

The contracts of the two PSG heavyweights are due to expire this summer and there are no plans to extend them into next season. 

The South American pair arrived at the Parc des Princes shortly after the club's Qatari owners took charge and have been part of the parade of titles won by the team.

Lundstram set for Blades contract talks


Sheffield United midfielder John Lundstram is set for contract talks, with the 25-year-old's current deal expiring at the end of the season, as reported by the Sheffield Star.

Lundstram's rise to prominence has been one of the stories of the season so far at Bramall Lane, after making only five starts as United won promotion from the Championship last term.

Gerrard not putting price tag on Kamara


Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has refused to put a price tag on Glen Kamara but says that he is aware of interest from English clubs in the Finland international midfielder, as reported by the Sun

Kamara’s value has rocketed over the past ten months with Gerrard admitting he is pleased that Dundee allowed him to leave so easily and so cheaply.

He said: “Glen has settled in really well. He has been schooled really well, both on and off the pitch.

“He is a good-mannered boy who wants to learn and wants to work. He is in a fantastic place doing well for Finland as well."

Cole blasts Zaha after poor displays


Joe Cole doesn't think that Wilfried Zaha's performance against Chelsea on Saturday befits a man with ambitions to move to a top club.

The Crystal Palace winger agitated for a move away this summer, but the former England man thinks a showing in which Zaha was shut down by 19-year-old Reece James was not good enough.

"I think credit to Reece James but Wilf Zaha needs to show more if he wants to make that next step," Cole said on BT Sport.

Premier League clubs eye Nigeria starlet


Ibrahim Said's star turn at the Under-17 World Cup have drawn interest from a slew of teams in England, according to All Nigeria Soccer.

The winger bagged a hat-trick in the competition and now West Ham, Liverpool and Manchester City have opened talks with the Dabo Babes academy, where the midfielder currently plays.

There is interest elsewhere in Europe, including in Belgium and the Netherlands, but the report only names the English teams in pursuit of Said.

Merson urges Chelsea to sign a striker


Former Arsenal winger Paul Merson has said he thinks that Frank Lampard should sign a forward for Chelsea if their transfer ban is lifted.

Speaking on Sky Sports Merson said that he thought Tammy Abraham might struggle as the season progressed as it's his first as a regular starter in the Premier League.

In addition he thought another ex-Gunner Olivier Giroud would not settle for a continued role as a substitute.

Klopp opts to retain Lovren


Football Insider suggests that Dejan Lovren will remain at Liverpool as worries about the club's fixture congestion mount.

They were willing to allow the Croatia international to leave this summer but no club was willing to match the £20 million ($26m) fee the Anfield club was seeking.

Jurgen Klopp will not sanction a January departure as the Reds' continued involvement in the Carabao Cup and obligations at the Club World Cup, in addition to the busy festive period in the Premier League, mean they have a hectic schedule which will demand a full squad.


Hudson-Odoi explains Bayern Munich snub


Callum Hudson-Odoi says Frank Lampard's return to Chelsea played a key role in his decision to ignore interest from Bayern Munich earlier this year.

The 19-year-old sought a move away from Stamford Bridge in January, after growing frustrated with a lack of playing time under Maurizio Sarri.

Bayern Munich were reportedly very keen on luring the talented winger to the Allianz Arena, but Chelsea were unwilling to sanction his departure.

Bayer Leverkusen star to cost over €100 million

Barcelona are ready for a battle with Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus to sign Kai Havertz.

The Catalan side are one of the favourites to land the Bayer Leverkusen star, but the 20-year-old is expected to cost upwards of €100 million (£86m/$110m). 

Sport claims Barca are ready to fight it out with their many rivals and land one of Germany's most promising players.

Arsenal have started talks with representatives of 21-year-old defender Merih Demiral, according to Turkish-Football.

The Turkey international has impressed at Juventus and the Gunners see him as a good option to strengthen their defence.

The Premier League side have already started sounding him out, but Juventus will be demanding upwards of €30 million (£26m/$33m) for him.

Roma reach agreement with €25m Napoli star


Roma are closing in on the signing of Elseid Hysaj from NapoliCorriere dello Sport says.

The capital club have reached an agreement with the 25-year-old right-back, but must strike a deal with Napoli next and may have to pay upwards of €25 million for him.

Barcelona to open Ter Stegen extension talks


Barcelona are ready to open negotiations over a new contract with Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Mundo Deportivo reports.

The 27-year-old's current deal has three years left on it but the Catalan side are eager to tie him down to a longer deal.

Even though the Germany international is eager to sign, the confirmation will have to wait until next year, when there will be room in Barca's budget.

Klich signs new Leeds contract


Mateusz Klich has committed to a four-and-a-half-year contract extension at Leeds United, it has been confirmed.

The 29-year-old has impressed in the Championship, having joined from Twente two years ago.

“He’s gone on to become a really important player for us and I’m delighted that he’s committed to spend the best years of his career with us," director of football Victor Orta said.

Man Utd track Leeds stars Phillips and White


Manchester United are keeping a close eye on Leeds duo Kalvin Phillips and Ben White, Football Insider says.

Midfielder Phillips and centre-back White have impressed the United scouts several times this season and a bid could be on the cards.

However, White is on loan from Brighton and is also being watched by Liverpool.

Perraud confirms Celtic talks in summer


Brest left-back Romain Perraud has confirmed he was in talks with Celtic over a summer move.

The 22-year-old joined the club from Nice in the summer window, but he admits he could have left France.

With Celtic, the discussions started at the beginning of the transfer window, but Nice did not want to hear anything, so they did not come back," he told Goal

"There remained Dijon and Brest. In the end, I chose Brest. I was seduced by the project and the speech I received."

Paris Saint-Germain are trying to convince Kylian Mbappe to sign a new contract, but have not presented him with an offer yet.

The France star is one of the most coveted players in the world, with Real Madrid said to be determined to land him.

L'Equipe reports the Ligue 1 giants want to keep him for even longer and have started negotiations with him.

Man Utd to make £40m January bid for Eriksen


Manchester United will try to seal the signing of Christian Eriksen in January with an offer worth over £40 million in January.

El Desmarque reports that the Red Devils are the favourites to sign him as Spurs need to sell in January or lose him for free in the summer.

Real Madrid are the main challengers, but they are eyeing other options to strengthen their options.

Juventus plot €40m bid for Roma star Zaniolo


Juventus are not giving up on their pursuit of Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo, according to Calciomercato.

The Serie A giants tried to land him in the summer but Roma were in no mood to let him go. 

But Juve are ready to open talks again and are willing to pay up to €40 million (£35m/$44m) for him.

AC Milan stall on Ibrahimovic offer


Swedish star will decide next move in a month

AC Milan have stalled in their efforts to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic in January, Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

The Swedish striker has been closely linked with a return to Italy and Milan are the top candidates to sign him.

But talks between Ibra and the player have stopped, though he is open to hearing all offers before he makes his decicion next month.

River Plate coach Gallardo disputes Barcelona rumours


Marcelo Gallardo played down rumours he could take over as Barcelona coach, saying his focus was on River Plate.

Gallardo has been linked with a move to Camp Nou amid reports Ernesto Valverde will leave no later than the end of the season.

However, the River coach discussed the rumours ahead of a big finish to the year, including a Copa Libertadores final clash against Flamengo on November 23.

Scott, 23, links up with the club on an initial three-month contract and is yet to play in the A-League. 

Timbers hoping Valeri signs TAM deal


The Portland Timbers are hopeful that Diego Valeri will remain with the club on a multi-year deal, reports the Athletic.

Valeri helped guide the Timbers to an MLS Cup in 2015 and remains the best player in club history, although his contract is set to end this winter.

The Timbers are waiting to hear if Valeri will accept a TAM deal to stay with the club ahead of the deadline next week for each club to submit protected lists ahead of the expansion draft.  

Ten Hag likely to leave Ajax after season


In-demand manager Erik Ten Hag is likely to depart Ajax after this season, according to De Telegraaf.

The Dutch boss rose to prominence last season after guiding the Dutch club to the Champions League semi-finals.

And now, he's a front-runner for the Bayern Munich job, although Thomas Tuchel is also a candidate.

Bayern Munich caretaker boss Hansi Flick is focused on the task in hand, even though Bayern's hiring of a new manager could affect his role at the club.

Arsenal's Granit Xhaka could be available in January after Unai Emery admitted the rift between the 27-year-old and some Arsenal fans may not be able to be repaired.

The Swiss midfielder ruled himself out of the trip to Vitoria on Thursday and Saturday's Premier League meeting with Leicester.

Mbappe to Liverpool?


The PSG man has been linked with the European champions

"No chance," according to Jurgen Klopp.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward had been linked with Liverpool ahead of next season, but the German boss said such a transfer would be impossible.

"Absolutely no chance, sorry for killing that story," he said. "I don't think there is a club in the world that can buy Kylian Mbappe from PSG."
