San Jose Earthquakes sign 14-year-old goalkeeper
The San Jose Earthquakes have signed 14-year-old goalkeeper Emmanuel Ochoa to a new contract, it has been confirmed.
The teenager becomes the second youngest player to sign a professional contract with the MLS - missing Freddy Adu's record by 23 days.
The Earthquakes' general manager Jesse Fioranelli said: "The work we have done to prepare for the future in the goalkeeper position gave us the opportunity to offer a contract to Emi, although he is very young.
"We have established ourselves with players who will support us in 2020 and in the following years and will allow Emi to develop at its own pace."

Bayern Munich sports director Hasan Salihamidzic will be promoted to the club's executive board, it has been confirmed.
The club's website reports that he has earned the trust of the higher-ups at the Allianz Arena and will give him a more prominent role from July 1, 2020.
