San Jose Earthquakes sign 14-year-old goalkeeper


The San Jose Earthquakes have signed 14-year-old goalkeeper Emmanuel Ochoa to a new contract, it has been confirmed.

The teenager becomes the second youngest player to sign a professional contract with the MLS - missing Freddy Adu's record by 23 days.

The Earthquakes' general manager Jesse Fioranelli said: "The work we have done to prepare for the future in the goalkeeper position gave us the opportunity to offer a contract to Emi, although he is very young. 

"We have established ourselves with players who will support us in 2020 and in the following years and will allow Emi to develop at its own pace."

Ibrahimovic considering LA Galaxy renewal


Zlatan Ibrahimovic has several offers to return to Italy when his contract with LA Galaxy expires at the end of the season.

However, the Swedish striker could still end up staying in California as the Galaxy hope to convince him to snub interest from AC Milan, Bologna and Napoli and sign a new deal.

Mainz sack Schwarz and assistant Turk


Mainz have sacked coach Sandro Schwarz and assistant Michael Turk.

They sit third bottom of the Bundesliga after 11 games and were beaten 3-2 at home to Union Berlin at the weekend, prompting the club to make a change in manager.

Inter have been impressed by goalkeeper Ionut Radu's performances at Genoa and hope to bring him back to the club next summer.

Radu is on loan at Genoa and they have an obligation to buy him at the end of the season, but Calciomercato says the Nerazzurri will try to hold on to the 22-year-old.

Salihamidzic gets Bayern promotion


Bayern Munich sports director Hasan Salihamidzic will be promoted to the club's executive board, it has been confirmed.

The club's website reports that he has earned the trust of the higher-ups at the Allianz Arena and will give him a more prominent role from July 1, 2020.

'Ibrahimovic great for Serie A'


Jeremie Boga believes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic's return to Serie A would see even more people switch over to watch Italian football after MLS Commissioner Don Garber linked the striker with a move to AC Milan.

Ibrahimovic had already been strongly linked with a move to Bologna as he looks to leave LA Galaxy to return to one of Europe's top five leagues this winter.

And Boga, a former Chelsea youth player now looking to make his way in the game with Sassuolo, believes that Serie A is on its way back up the popularity list and that Ibrahimovic would add more star power to that brought by Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku and Mario Balotelli.

The Swiss publication states that the 27-year-old has already started house hunting in Italy after being stripped of the captaincy at Emirates Stadium.

The Premier League champions would like the German winger to stay, but he is no closer to extending his current contract, which is due to expire in 2021.

With Bayern Munich ready to reignite their interest in Sane when the market reopens, City may cash in on a prized asset before his value drops.

Manchester United and Barcelona are monitoring Eduardo Camavinga's progress at Rennes - according to L'Equipe.

Atletico Madrid are also keeping tabs on the 17-year-old, who is already valued at around €30 million (£33m, £26m).

Red Devils want Eagles winger back

Manchester United are lining up a £70 million ($90m) move to take Wilfried Zaha back to the club, claims The Sun.

The Crystal Palace winger took in a troubled spell at Old Trafford back in 2013 but is now considered to be of the right age and experience to make a positive impact for the Red Devils.

Arsenal should be looking to move Mesut Ozil, Granit Xhaka, Sead Kolasinac, Calum Chambers and Shkodran Mustafi out of the club, says Paul Mariner, with the latter said to need “studs in his shorts because he’s always on his backside”.

The ex-Gunners forward has told ESPN of Ozil: “At the present moment he’s an absolute shadow. As soon as he signed his contract he’s been a shadow of his former self. I’m going to let him go.”

The Nerazzurri are hoping to sign the Belgian star on a free transfer when his current contract at Stadio San Paolo expires next summer.

Drinkwater set to return to Chelsea in January


Burnley are ready to send Danny Drinkwater back to Chelsea when the winter transfer window opens - according to The Sun.

The Clarets are likely to pass up the option to extend the midfielder's six-month loan at Turf Moor, with his £120,000 per week wages proving to be an issue.

Drinkwater has only featured once for Burnley this season, spending most of his time with the club on the sidelines through injury.

Higuain close to penning new deal at Juve


Gonzalo Higuain is on the verge of signing a new contract with Juventus.

Bianconeri director Fabio Paratici confirmed the Argentine is set to extend his stay in Turin before a Serie A win over AC Milan on Sunday.

Postecoglou has been with the club since December 2017, having previously managed the Australia national team.

Frank Lampard says Willian is a player he loves having as Chelsea's board decide whether to offer him a new deal in light of recent good form at Stamford Bridge.

The 31-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season but he has stepped up repeatedly this campaign, including contributing the assist for Tammy Abraham's opener in the club's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Arsenal won't panic over Emery


Arsenal won't be panicked into sacking Unai Emery, but may change their position if their form does not improve quickly, reports the Mail.

Emery's position is under scrutiny after a run of just two wins in 10 Premier League matches, with the London side well beaten at Leicester on Saturday.

The Gunners planned to review his position at the end of the season, but that may change if their poor form continues amid reports a number of players are concerned about the Spaniard's approach.

Inter eye Parma duo


Inter are ready to make moves for Parma's Matteo Darmian and Dejan Kulusevski in January, reports Calciomercato.

Antonio Conte is keen to add a midfielder and defender to his ranks as he looks to maintain their title push and has identifed the duo as prime targets.

Parma are reluctant to sell Darmian but may consider the right offer, while Kulusevski's parent club Atalanta may also sell at the right price.

Atlanta United have agreed to trade Darlington Nagbe to Columbus for an undisclosed amount of allocation money, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Nagbe had turned down the offer of fresh terms at Atlanta and was ready to see out the remaining year of his contract before signing for one of Ohio's MLS clubs.

Atlanta did not want to lose Nagbe, but rather than losing him for free have instead agreed to let him move to Columbus now, with the deal expected to be confirmed on Monday.
