Latest Transfer Odds: Courtois bound for Real Madrid according to the bookmakers

Thibaut Courtois could be set to swap Chelsea for Real Madrid according to the latest transfer odds.

SportPesa make Courtois 3/20 (1.15) to move to Los Blancos before the end of the summer transfer window.

While Premier League sides must complete their business by August 9, clubs outside England can still acquire players until the end of the month so this bet will settle based on the club in question on September 1 2018.

The market suggests that the reigning European champions are the only serious contenders for the Belgian's signature at the time of writing, with former club Atletico Madrid (18/1) and Juventus (33/1) a long way behind the leading two outcomes.

The second of which, of course, is that Courtois remains at Chelsea. SportPesa currently offer 4/1 (5.00) that the 26-year-old stays at Stamford Bridge.

Having helped Belgium to a third-place finish at the World Cup the next few weeks could be crucial for the goalkeeper, who only has a year left on his current contract.

The prolonged sacking of Antonio Conte is unlikely to have helped the situation and while Maurizio Sarri is now in place, Courtois' comments have seen plenty of speculation about where he'll be playing going into next season.

In an interview with Het Laatste Nieuws. Courtois said "Now I'm going to talk to my agent to see what the possibilities are. All options are open for me. I may also stay at Chelsea."

The Blues won't be playing in the Champions League next season having missed out on a top four spot and that could have an impact on several of their star players.

The two-time Premier League winner – whose children still live in Madrid - also indicated his future is linked to that of Eden Hazard who has also been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish capital.

"Wherever I go, Hazard must come along," he added. "We will not let each other go. We'll see."

After Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Juventus, Los Blancos will be looking to bolster their squad in multiple positions and Hazard is one of the attacking options that could fit the bill.

Together with Julen Lopetegui replacing Zinedine Zidane as coach, it looks set to be a pivotal summer for the Spanish side with both Hazard and Courtois odds-on to swap London for Madrid at the time of writing.
