Kelantan, T-Team 'unfazed' by points deduction

Despite having been handed six-point deductions by M-League organiser Football Malaysia LLP earlier this week for issues with player salaries, East Coast sides T-Team and Kelantan both rebounded from their misfortunes by recording convincing wins in their round 12 Super League (MSL) matches on Saturday.

The Titans extended their winning run to three consecutive wins, when they overcame a listless Perak 3-0 in Kuala Terengganu. Mamadou Samassa opened the scoring as early as the eighth minute, and Wan Ahmad Amirzafran and Farhod Tadjiev compounded the Bos Gaurus' misery in the second half.

If T-Team's win was convincing, then the Red Warriors' victory was nothing short of sensational. They defeated second-placed Pahang 3-2 at the Darulmakmur Stadium, thanks to their talismanic forward Mohammed Ghaddar's brace. Matheus Alves equalised in the 77th minute for the Tok Gajah to make it 2-2, but the Lebanese scored the winner with his second of the night just one minute later.

Interestingly, another team out of the four sides to be hit by points deduction also performed admirably in their latest match. Relegation-threatened ATM held league leaders Negeri Sembilan to a 1-1 away draw in their Premier League match on Friday.

However, the other side Perlis did not share the same luck. Late Friday afternoon, they were hammered 5-0 by Kuala Lumpur.
