Al Nasr FC won their first friendly match at Slovenia's preparatory camp against NK CELJE, one of the first division teams.
The Arabian Gulf League outfit's 2-1 result was the first match played under new manager Cesare Prandelli.
Wanderly Santos (23) opened the scoring while Moroccan Abdulaziz Barrada (36) got the decisive goal of the match played on Wednesday evening.
Jouan Al Omari began in goal for the visitors while Khalifa Mubarak, Mahmoud Khamis and Massoud Soliman operated in defence. Tariq Ahmed, Fawaz Awana, Jassim Yaqoob, Rashid Issa and Abdulaziz Barrada made up the midfield and Wanderly Santos led the attack as the lone striker.
Wholesale changes were made in the second half as the coach tried to offer squad members valuable playing time.
Al Nasr finished sixth last season with 32 points to their name and will hope Prandelli can elevate them to a more competitive force this year.
