Betting Tips for Today: Goals likely at both ends as Milan host Olympiakos

Milan welcome Olympiakos to San Siro in the Europa League on Thursday evening looking to make it seven matches without defeat.

The Serie A outfit have lost just once this season but have struggled for victories, winning just twice in the league and labouring to a 1-0 win at Luxembourgian debutants Dudelange two weeks ago.

Olympiakos had their 10-match unbeaten run broken at the weekend by PAOK and will be determined to get back to winning ways here.

Unsurprisingly, their illustrious hosts are 11/25 (1.44) favourites with 888Sport to claim victory, whilst the Greek side are 7/1 (8.0) and the draw is 13/4 (4.25).

For all Olympiakos’ good form in domestic football, which has seen them claim four wins from five, their Europa League record is considerably less enviable. Indeed, the Piraeus side have won just one of their last eight matches in the tournament proper.

However, the Red and Whites scored in five of those eight Europa League fixtures and that makes both teams to score the most appealing play here at 11/10 (2.10).

Milan have scored in their last nine games in all competitions to the tune of 19 goals but have been let down by their defence, which has kept just one clean sheet in their last 14.

There is very little to suggest the hosts will manage to keep Olympiakos at bay considering they have conceded against the likes of Empoli and Cagliari – who have just nine league goals combined this season.

The 11/10 (2.10) quote from 888Sport on both teams to score looks a solid play ahead of this clash and would have landed in 10 of Milan’s last 12 competitive matches.
