Group F of the 2022 World Cup rolls on with the second matchup stage, our particular subject pitting Belgium against Morocco at 8 a.m. ET. Kickoff takes place at Al Thumama Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar.

The four days between Belgium’s first and second matches seems to have helped injured star striker Romelu Lukaku (ankle), who may suit up after missing the first World Cup fixture.

While it may be difficult for Hakim Ziyech and company to advance past the group stage, the Moroccans will be looking to at least win their first World Cup game since 1998 when they defeated Scotland.

Belgium’s star power will likely prove to be too difficult for the Moroccans to handle, but Regragui’s young but fiery national team will give World Cup Group F bettors plenty of angles to attack.

Belgium vs Morocco Odds

  • 3-way handicap: Belgium (+100) | Draw (+225) | Morocco (+310)
  • Draw No Bet: Belgium (-250) | Morocco (+180)
  • Over/Under Goals: Over 2.5 ( +115) | Under 2.5 (-165)
  • Both Teams to Score: Yes (+100) | No (-135)

Belgium vs Morocco lines are current as of Saturday, Nov. 26, at BetMGM Sportsbook.

On paper, Morocco was expected to provide a sneaky challenge for the Red Devils. However, their ability to test Belgium may hinge on the availability of fullback Achraf Hakimi (left side) and right back Noussair Mazraoui (hip), who are both questionable as of Saturday night.

Also, if Lukaku plays, expect the Odds on that Over 2.5 and Both Teams to Score to quickly lose value. I would throw a bet on each before we get a clear read, just for the profit potential.

Belgium vs Morocco Betting Tips

  • The Belgium national team has lost only two matches in 2022 heading into the World Cup, both times to the Netherlands in UEFA Nations League competition.
  • Belgium dominated the field at World Cup Qualifiers, triumphing in six of eight fixtures while averaging 3.13 goals per match.
  • Morocco aced CAF qualifying with a 6-0 record, scoring 20 goals and allowing only one.
  • Morocco’s sub-tropical climate should leave them decently acquitted to at least remain competitive in each fixture of the group stage, when other teams might be adjusting to sweltering temperatures

Belgium vs Morocco Prediction

Belgium 2-1 Morocco

Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne recently said in an interview that he “thinks [Belgium]’s chance was 2018” to win the World Cup, also stating doubts about his side’s age and chances against global competition.

This pessimism aside, the Red Devils should defeat Morocco and clinch a spot in the knockout stage, particularly if Lukaku is listed among the XI.

A full-strength Belgian side can hang with any of the world’s best teams. Morocco’s weak spots in the midfield and injury-marred back line may prove to be hurdles too high to surmount against the No. 2-ranked FIFA team pre-World Cup.

De Bruyne’s command of the midfield and world-class passing should help carry the Belgians. The Manchester City dynamo is a fine bet to log at least a point.

Belgium vs Morocco Best Bets

➕Both Teams to Score (+100) at BetMGM Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

I don’t necessarily like the uninspired (+138) odds of BetMGM’s curated One Game Parlay tool that combines this with Over 2.5 goals. So I’m going to bet them separately.

Belgium’s firepower should come through even if Lukaku doesn’t log a start. They hold plenty of depth on the attack to have someone eventually tally one for the scoreboard.

Canada peppered Belgium with many high-danger chances in the first group slate, and Morocco, who scored 20 goals in CAF qualifying action, should surprise bettors with similar gusto.

➕ Over 2.5 Goals (+100) at BetMGM Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

I’ll try to continue building on returns with this separate ticket.

Lukaku being active would retroactively give this plenty of value, but even if he doesn’t, this is an angle I wouldn’t regret taking at plus-money, regardless.
