'Something I couldn't turn down' - Wrexham star George Evans reveals he didn't think twice when Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney came calling in summer transfer window
Wrexham midfielder George Evans has admitted he jumped at the chance to join the club owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Evans has quickly become a key figure at the Racecourse as Phil Parkinson's side have put together an impressive 11-game unbeaten run. The Manchester City academy graduate was named the player of the match in Wrexham's 2-0 win against Gillingham last weekend. Evans has featured in 14 matches so far this season for his new club.

Evans told the Leader: "I am loving my time here. When this opportunity came up, it was something I couldn't turn down.I am delighted to be here, it is a fantastic football club and I feel at home. It's a great set of lads, staff and everything about the club."

Evans will look to continue his fine form as Wrexham aim for a second consecutive promotion. The Red Dragons are second in League Two, five points behind leaders Stockport County. On Saturday they'll travel to Lancashire to face Accrington Stanley.
