  • Wrexham's unmissable matches in 2023-24

Wrexham will start life back in League Two with a home fixture at a packed out SToK Racecourse against Milton Keynes Dons, who were relegated from League Two after finishing 21st in the table.

Before that, fans of the Red Dragons will undoubtedly be looking forward to their pre-season clashes against Premier League opposition, with Manchester United and Chelsea both due to face the Welsh side in the United States this summer.

Supporters will also be looking out for their matches against Notts County, who joined Wrexham in being promoted to League Two after a tense National League title race saw Luke Williams' side pipped to first place, resulting in them needing to win the play-offs via a penalty shoot-out at Wembley Stadium.

The first game against Notts County will take place at Meadow Lane on October 28, with the reverse fixture scheduled for February 17.

Chester are Wrexham's main rivals and although they won't be facing them in the league this season, Phil Parkinson's side will meet Tranmere Rovers, who are within a 30-mile travelling distance.

The first of those matches is pencilled in for September 2, at Tranmere's Prenton Park, with the return meeting due to take place on March 16.

The newly-promoted League Two title favourites will also face another Welsh club in 2023-24. Newport County, who are based in South Wales, finished 15th in the table last season and will take on Wrexham on December 23 and January 20.

Wrexham's main rivals for the League Two title are likely to be Stockport County, and the Red Dragons will face the Hatters for the second time on the final day of the season, April 27, at SToK Racecourse, which could be a huge game in the context of the promotion battle.
