William Saliba and Martin Odegaard among five Arsenal stars named in PFA Premier League Team of the Year with Erling Haaland & Ollie Watkins also making the cut

Arsenal pushed Manchester City hard in the Premier League title race last season but ultimately had to settle for second place after finishing two points behind Pep Guardiola's side. The Gunners' efforts have been recognised at the PFA Awards with five players featuring in the Premier League Team of the Year.

Saliba and Odegaard are joined in the Premier League XI by goalkeeper David Raya, Gabriel Magalhaes and Declan Rice. Champions Manchester City are also well represented with top scorer Erling Haaland included along with Kyle Walker, Rodri, and Phil Foden. The team is completed by Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk and Aston Villa and England striker Ollie Watkins.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has already revealed what he thinks it will take to beat City to the title this season. The Spaniard has claimed his team need "114 points" if they are depose the Cityzens as the champions of England.

Arsenal and Manchester City already look set to battle it out again for the Premier League title in the new campaign. The Gunners opened up their season with a 2-0 win over Wolves at the Emirates, while Manchester City beat Chelsea by the same scoreline at Stamford Bridge.
