    WHAT HAPPENED?

Arsenal outclassed reigning champions Manchester City 5-1 on Sunday in the Premier League at Emirates Stadium. Martin Odegaard opened the scoring for the Gunners with an early strike before Erling Haaland equalised at the start of the second half. The hosts, however, restored their lead through Thomas Partey's brilliant strike and then Myles Lewis-Skelly, Kai Havertz and Ethan Nwaneri ensured it was a miserable afternoon for the visitors.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Despite scoring the visitors' only goal in the game, Haaland endured a tough night in north London as he was subject to trolling from opposition players, particularly when Lewis-Skelly copied his goal celebration. At full-time, the Norwegian goal machine was seen exchanging an animated conversation with Gunners defender Gabriel as he flashed the golden Premier League badge on his sleeve at the Brazilian.

  • WHAT HAS BEEN SAID

While the conversation between the two players was not audible, forensic lip reader Nicola Hickling decoded Haaland's exact words. Speaking to Jeffbet, Hickling said: "Don’t forget it. Look at it. Don’t forget it. You’d love this, eh? Don’t forget it, yeah."
