    Roque's miserable stint with the Catalan giants ended after just eight months as he left the club on loan for Real Betis. The player will spend the 2024/25 season and Betis, who also have the option to a second year and a permanent transfer. The Brazilian will now aim to get his career back on track in a new environment.

    Ahead of starting a new journey with The Green-and-Whites, Roque was called up to the Brazil U20 side where he recently scored a brace in a 3-2 win over Mexico in a friendly clash. After the game, the attacker opened up about his time at Barcelona as he took a dig at the club.

    Speaking to Sportv channel, the 19-year-old said, "I hadn't laughed for six or seven months. I thanked everyone from the Brazilian team who was here for the week I was able to experience. It was a short period of time, but I made the most of it, I joked and enjoyed myself, which is the most important thing... and, when the game came, the goals came."

    The youngster will now hope to make his debut for Real Betis this week as the club take on Leganes in La Liga on Friday night.
