Four-time Grand Slam winner Alcaraz is a big Blancos supporter and idolised Portuguese icon Ronaldo growing up. He is now a sporting phenomenon in his own right, with the record books being rewritten at just 21 years of age.

Ronaldo is currently in the process of chasing down more major silverware in Saudi Arabia, with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner still going strong at 39 years of age. He continues to put in talismanic performances for Al-Nassr, while inspiring millions around the world.

Alcaraz remains a big fan and paid homage to CR7 when adding another victory to his own roll of honour. The big-hitting Spaniard saw off Wu Yibing in the third round of the 2024 Shanghai Masters. Afterwards, he made a point of adding “Siuuu” to the customary celebration message that is scrawled onto a television camera.

Said success was Alcaraz’s 100th in hard court play – with a US Open success from 2022 included on that list. Ronaldo, meanwhile, has set himself a target involving the number 1,000 – with the all-time great intending to reach that figure on the career goal front before giving any thought to retirement.
