The Spain international sent the ball curling into the hoop from distance during Barcelona training, sending his team-mates into wild celebrations as they congratulated him and prompting the club's social media account to compare him to NBA hero Steph Curry.

Despite such magnificent skill, the 33-year-old full-back has had a limited role for the Catalan club this season. He has featured in just seven games in all competitions this season and only recently returned to the squad after suffering from a back injury.

Due to his struggles this term, Alonso has been left out of the Spain squad for the upcoming friendlies against Colombia and Brazil. Now that he is available for Barca once again, though, he will hope to be involved when they meet Las Palmas on March 30.
