The social media sensation, who is famed for his passionate support of Cristiano Ronaldo, joined the CBS crew for their coverage of the Champions League last-16. He was in attendance alongside Carragher, Thierry Henry, Micah Richards and host Kate Scott.

Said appearance was always going to be lively, with IShowSpeed taking his unique brand of carnage wherever he goes. He beat Liverpool legend Carragher in a behind-the-scenes sprint, while also boldly claiming to be faster than Arsenal great and 1998 World Cup winner Henry.

Unsurprisingly, Speed did not pass up the chance to nail his colours to the Ronaldo mast once more, saying when asked about the Portuguese superstar: “I think Ronaldo is the GOAT. I don't know if y'all agree with that. Everybody has their own opinion. He's my inspiration, even when it comes to YouTube.”

He added when pressed on whether he really believes that CR7 is better than eight-time Ballon d’Or winner and eternal rival Lionel Messi – who starred for Barcelona before moving on to Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Miami: “Yes, I do. I say that because Ronaldo played in the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A. He dominated in all of those leagues. Messi played in one league.”

IShowSpeed signed off by performing his trademark backflip off the CBS Sports desk – having been encouraged by ex-England international Carragher to do - incorporating Ronaldo’s famous ‘Siuuuu’ celebration into his routine.

Speed picked Richards as his favourite member of the CBS crew. He was, however, presented with a captain’s armband by Henry ahead of the latest Sidemen charity match that will be taking place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
