Lautaro Martinez had handed Inter the lead in the 13th minute before Thomas Henry restored parity by scoring the equaliser for Veron in the 74th minute. Frattesi scored the winning goal in the stoppage time to seal an important win for the Serie A leaders.

After scoring the late winner, the Italy international ran towards the San Siro crown in ecstasy and celebrated with the fans. As the player leaped on top of a yellow fence near the gallery, his team-mates accidentally pulled down his shorts which exposed his backside.

10 minutes into stoppage time, the visitors had an opportunity to snatch a point away from the Nerazzurri but Henry failed to complete his brace as his spot-kick hit the post and came back. In the end, it was a crucial win for Simone Inzaghi's side as it helped them extend their lead to five points over Juventus at the top of the table, although the Bianconeri have a game in hand.

The Italian giants will next face Monza in the Serie A on January 13 before they take on Lazio in the semi-final of the Supercoppa Italiana on January 19.
