VIDEO: Czech Republic fans troll Cristiano Ronaldo with Lionel Messi chants ahead of Euro 2024 clash with Portugal

Rival fans are always innovative in their methods to rile up their opponents' main threat and Czech supporters are no different. Ahead of their tournament opener against Portugal, there were loud chants of Messi on the streets of Leipzig - a prelude to what one of the greatest players of all time might expect during the 90 minutes at the Red Bull Arena.

Ronaldo is quite familiar with the Messi chants while playing away from home. Al-Hilal and Al-Shabab fans have belted out such chants from the stands in an attempt to wind him up. Mostly, he has allowed his feet to do the talking, but those taunts did get the better of him on one occasion when he ended up aiming a controversial gesture towards the crowd.

Ronaldo is participating in his sixth European Championship final and will be looking to add his record tally of 14 goals when the two teams meet on Tuesday evening. After this match, he will return to action against Turkey and Georgia on June 22 and 27 respectively.
