VIDEO: Barcelona star Lamine Yamal sends young fans absolutely wild after recording special message during taxi ride

Yamal is currently one of the hottest footballers on the planet after starring for Barcelona and Spain at the tender age of 17. The teenager is having to get used to his new-found fame and requests from fans, most recently during a taxi ride. The driver asked Yamal to record a message for his niece and the Barca star was happy to oblige. Yamal's taxi driver subsequently posted the video online and also showed off his niece's wild reaction to the Barca star's message.

Yamal has long been compared to Barcelona legend Lionel Messi but is managing to live up to the hype. He was part of the Spain squad that won Euro 2024 and is currently flying high with Barcelona at the top of La Liga. Yamal has sought to play down comparisons to Messi but there is no doubt that such talk will continue if he can maintain his current trajectory and fire Barcelona to glory.

Yamal has started every La Liga game for Barcelona so far this season but is set to continue in the team on Wednesday against Getafe. Hansi Flick's side head into the match yet to drop a single point so far in the Spanish top flight and sit four points clear of Real Madrid after six games.
