The injury will also complicate Dest's long-term future. The defender had been enjoying a good season on loan from Barcelona at PSV and had been expected to complete a permanent transfer to the Dutch side. However, it remains to be seen now if the club will still be willing to splash out on a player who may not be fit to play until 2025.
