USMNT star Gio Reyna scored a decisive goal for Borussia Dortmund in his return to the XI - 30 seconds into the second half, Reyna ghosted into the top of the box, took a deft touch, and smashed the ball home to mark his full return in style. But it wasn't enough for the German side, who conceded late and were forced to settle for a disappointing 1-1 draw.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Reyna's goal continues his promising return to the side after missing two months with a muscle injury. He has steadily worked his way back to fitness, and after playing 70 minutes in the Champions League midweek, was handed a start here. Dortmund are currently outside of the Champions League spots in the Bundesliga.
DID YOU KNOW?
Prior to Sunday, Reyna hadn't scored a Bundesliga goal since May 13, 2023. The American has struggled for both form and fitness over the past two years - and endured an unsuccessful loan to Nottingham Forest last spring.

WHAT NEXT FOR REYNA?
The attacking midfielder will hope to see his good form continue when Dortmund take on Wolfsburg next Sunday. It will be his side's final game before their two week break over the Christmas period.
