    WHAT HAPPENED?

Having wrapped up a taxing season with AC Milan, Pulisic is back in the United States to rest and recover before returning to club duties. The 26-year-old was seen in the stands on Thursday night as the Oilers pulled off a dramatic comeback victory, defeating the Panthers 5-4 in overtime and keeping the series alive in sensational fashion. While the atmosphere inside Florida’s Amerant Bank Arena was electric, it was also a rare chance for the American winger to unwind away from the football spotlight.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

A host of celebrities were in attendance, including bayern Munich superstar Harry Kane and Taylor Swift, along with her partner Travis Kelch.

NHL shared a carousel of celebrity pictures from their Instagram account and wrote: "The stars are out tonight! 🤩".

  • DID YOU KNOW?

The former Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund star has decided to sit out the CONCACAF Gold Cup this summer, a move that initially sparked debate. However, Pulisic has now explained his stance, citing concerns about both his physical well-being and the long-term calendar leading up to the 2026 World Cup.

He said: "I knew how I was feeling towards the end of last season. I was dealing with a couple of small things that just kept on lingering and to go on and straight into the summer and play for six weeks and then go directly into preseason with my team and get no rest and then go straight into the next season and straight into the [2026] World Cup. I had to make a decision, and this is what I feel is best for myself and ultimately best for the team."

WHAT NEXT FOR USMNT & PULISIC?

Pulisic's absence from the Gold Cup means the U.S. will head into fixtures against Trinidad & Tobago, Saudi Arabia, and Haiti in the group stages without one of their talisman in attack. However, he is expected to return to action for the USMNT in September, when the team faces friendly matches against South Korea and Japan.
