The U.S. men's national team finish 2024 as the No. 16-ranked team in international football, FIFA revealed in their year-end rankings.
It's a slight rebound from their year-low ranking of 18th in September, when the team went winless against Canada and New Zealand prior to Mauricio Pochettino's arrival as manager. The ranking is also four spots down from where they were last December, when the Americans ranked 12th. Despite the drop, the U.S remain the top-ranked team in CONCACAF.
Mexico came in at No. 19, a steep drop from last October when it was ranked 12th and it finished 2023 at No. 14. Rounding out the top teams in the region, Jesse Marsch's Canada was ranked No. 31 - an all-time high. Last year prior to the American's arrival, the team was placed No. 48. Jamaica, fourth in the region, came in at No. 65 this year.
Argentina closed out 2024 ranked No. 1, with France, Spain, England and Brazil rounding out the top five.
